Cooper woke up first. He noticed that he was hog-tied to a large, long stick, and he was being carried with one Wobbyk soldier on each end to who knows where! He was already calculating how to get out of the trap, but he was a bit dizzy since he was hanging upside-down from the log.
Cooper looked over at where Phoebe had been tied up. She was still lost in the calmness of the lapping waves of unconsciousness. She must have been hit by a dart quite a bit after he had... or she was directly poked by one...
Cooper tried to chew on the thick vines keeping his legs pinned to the branch, but he had guards on either side of him, and whenever he tried to escape, they would jab him with their surprisingly large spears. Cooper felt a feeling he hadn't felt many times in his life... fear. He was afraid of where the army of Wobbyks would take him and Phoebe, he was afraid of what they would possibly do to them, afraid of the possible conclusions to their lives that appeared in his mind like projections on a movie theater screen. He was afraid.
Phoebe finally woke up from the greedy grasp of unconsciousness trying to keep a firm grip on her for as long as it possibly could. She shook her head a few times and looked over to her left. She had seen a Wobbyk guard soldier carrying a large spear, but past him, she saw Cooper, hog-tied and hanging upside down from a branch, being held by a soldier on each end, and guarded by the guard soldier Wobbyks on either side of him. Phoebe looked around and noticed that she was being transported the same way. She looked over at Cooper and tried to speak, but she noticed for the first time that there was a sticky substance in her mouth, preventing her tongue or lips to move. She tried to smack her lips together to figure out what this substance was. It was a strange variation of... honey?
Cooper saw Phoebe smacking her lips together in a strange way, and he wondered why she was doing so. He tried to mouth the words: "What are you doing?" but wasn't able. He, too, noticed a sticky substance preventing his mouth to move. He began doing as Phoebe was, and smacked his lips together until the sticky substance was weakened. He continued to do so until the honey was weak enough to swallow. He stopped, mid-swallow, and wondered if the honey could be good for him... Maybe it was poisoned, or it was a trap!
"Cooper!" Phoebe yelped. She had apparently swallowed the honey several minutes ago, and, from what Cooper could see, she wasn't experiencing any side effects. He calmed down and swallowed the honey. It tasted kind of funny, but he could tell it wasn't poisoned. He looked over at where Phoebe was being held and noticed that she was being punished for her outburst. She was being jabbed with the guards' spears until her sides had deep wounds.
Cooper made sure he didn't even make the slightest sound. He felt a poke in the back of his neck... He felt a familiar sensation... unconsciousness.
