Yes Nairobi the African city the place to be and feel the feel of the Kenyan art culture celebrated in the matatu culture and the street paints, the name Nairobi mean a place of cool waters according to the maasai the Kenyan warrior tribe that still has stuck to it's roots even when the clouts of civilization came to their door step but they took flight to the ends of Kajiado to save their own African culture that was under threat when the white man and the Indians laid on his land a big snake the African prophets had professied would bring a dark dark magic into their mother land and cause the maa community a deeper pain like no other. And this is why the mad community made their exodus out of this place of cool waters that became the main center of the British colonialists who had this emblem on cross on their map showing red the maa had associated to mean war but their prophets had counselled that this war they could not win and flight was their only recourse. So Nairobi the Kenyan capital is the most splendid African city with still the british city mark on it and the twenty four hour economy of Kenya has it's heart beat here in this place of cool waters polluted by the honking matatus feeding the city with over ten million people in one way in and another same head count in another exit and sleep has become a foreign thing to this Nairobians a hard working lot of Kenyans that want to defy the odds and make the Kenyan coin have a voice in the world through it's currency ratings. The Nairobi night is full of lights you might think this Kenyans decided to make the night day with the neons and street lights position at various corridors of the street and any apt Nairobian will tell you kindly to avoid the dark alleys at night or you might find yourself without anything and by anything I mean without anything you called possession when coming into the city but this increasing rate of crime is due to the influx of street families in the city a scourge the city council of Nairobi under the leadership bwana Mike mbuvi sonko (elected not because of his academia but because the locals could see him relating to their problems) has been unable to eradicate. The night as dangerous as it might be it has it's own pious lot with city churches on kesha busy preparing this sinful bunch of Kenyan youths to enter heaven through it's southern gates because it is known Kenyans are the most corrupt Africans who can even buy their way into heaven hahaha this is a misconception the world has had for ages because the Nairobi night has shown me the incorruptible beauty the Kenyan heart has working to put food on the table of a young generation back at the ghetto sleeping wondering where mom or dad is to kiss them good night unbeknown to them that dad is out selling wares on the streets of Nairobi the city of opportunities for the poor ane the rich that is why even our Kenyan deputy president is a true story from rages to riches meant possible because he made it to Nairobi and hassled like the walking nation of Nairobian using the muthurwa lane to access the city easily but refraining from using it during the night because it also serves as a haven for the wandering souls and urchins who might make use of your wallet's contents to fill their empty stomachs after the day's pay from scouring through the city dustbins having yielded nothing juicy. The Nairobi night will please you and equally anger you if you are caught in the long jams or if you can't cross the roads due to the rush of traffic, all in all the streets are alive with human activity especially the Nairobi high life that has seasoned this celebrities in the live show Nairobi dairies. The Nairobi night is another world of it's own it operates on it's own rules and regulations for even the African moral cops don't touch this side of Nairobi which is carefree like a village drunkard, the city at night is a city in a city with the matatus playing booming music to complement the high rise clubs in westlands down to the city clubs full of a lost generation of Kenyans who have aped the western culture of clubbing of course they also borrowed heavily on the African way of life which had the village dances held up-to the weekend hours of the night meant to mark the end of a moon or a season mostly the harvest season the happiest time in the African calendar where ugali is cooked in big big sufurias and the whole community feasts on the bull donated by the king. Yeah so this Africans out to blow some steam meet in this Nairobi clubs which are always full to the brim with under age kids intoxicaTed with this high life culture that is part and parcel of the Nairobi night.let me tell you about the high drugs that grace the Nairobi night first are the abortion quaks who approach any girl in the night who looks thick and has alot of make up and second are this girls who are on demand like the ARVs drugs by the rich and the poor but the former net them because this girl's warm your bed only if you have the means to meet their exorbitant fees a business that has attracted even the campus girls who nowadays come to school smelling money telling us the poor boy child that we can never have a taste of their goodies unless we can milk our parents dry with fake campus trips or even slash the fees and invest in Sport Pesa betting site the new windfall all the Kenyan youths crave for and when you hit the bet right you can find their pizza outings with a horde of other Nairobi girls nowadays known as slay queens who want to party till morning and get high watching the Nairobi night unfold.
The Nairobi night has also this other business of the material nowadays more into entertainment rather than transport their chief endeavors, you will enter one of this city matatus like kanambo named after the Jamaican artists vybz kartel now in jail who rumors has it that he defied the sanctity of life by taking a life and his music has taken the Nairobi youth who even worship his cultic group Gaza and that is why any Nairobian will tell you that this youthful guys acting like tauts are chaps not to be trusted especially if they have khat on their mouths ballooned up as they chew on the Nairobi night not closing a wink waiting for you the sleepy chap who doesn't know what the Nairobi spirit is. The matatu in Nairobi have this bad side but first let us unpack this matwana culture that Grace's the Nairobi night, the Matatus and buses known as nganyas in the sheng language most Nairobians speak( a language not ratified by the Kenyan parents because of it's complicated phrases that are seasonal and even treathen the growth of kiswahili the Kenyan national language and it is discouraged in most schools because of the embrace the youths have had. This young generation has found this funny language a means of communicating without the nosy old men knowing what is being talked about appropriate in covering their dirty tracks but far from sheng and back to matatus the booming music speakers have become a way of attracting the masses of Nairobians who have taken a liking in the party way of life. This matatus have been restructured and painted that when you are in you might think you are inside a club with the neon lights making you more relaxed and the music blinding any train of thought or any voice in your mind making you want to live life to the fullest and be part of the Nairobi night.
