~chapter 14~

(Third person pov) Karin and the others trudge through the dense vegetation and after they get far enough kimmi runs through the gate before it closes but gets lost from the others before he even realizes it.

(Kimi pov) as I ran through the forest it seemed like Karin and the others just up and vanished,i can't even see the gate anymore or any sort of path,it's nothing but trees that tower at least 15 foot almost blocking out the sun. I stop running and start walking because I'm obviously getting no where but I've noticed something,every 300 feet at the top of one of the trees there's this distortion,like how an oven or really hot fire makes this heat wave that distorts the air around it. It vanished when I take more than 300 steps and doesn't appear if I take 299 steps...only on the 300th which is rather odd. Why 300? That's such a random number..as I approach the final steps...289...290...291...292.. I look up and feel a paralyzing glare then before I take my 293rd step this red mist crashes down from the trees easily moving past me with immense heat,I almost thought my skin was gonna melt away and my blood boil just from the second it passed me then it was...gone!?..I look around and nothing is there, nothing at all..tch...I scoff then take my 294th step then 295..296...297....298...what's this..buzzing feeling,my whole body feels like it's vibrating and floating then I forcibly take the 299th step and all I can hear is a laugh but not anyone's laugh..I turn and see charlete standing there with a black mist around her. Now way no way no way she's in a place like this..how is that even possible...then as I look closer I realize it's not her but instead me...the version of me I saw in my dream..I scoff then go to take a backstep as the 300th but as I do the loudest screech I've ever heard erupts along with the worst burn sensation I've ever felt,my whole body feels like it's bursting into flames then the screech turns into laughter enfused with growls..not normal growls,they sound choked,like something drinking while growling..I turn around and look up to see a creature..at least that's what it looks like standing at the top of the tree with someone in it's mouth..all I get to see of the creature is that it's body is solid black with red under veins protruding from it's skin but it's skin is leathery,almost calous and ridged. It's feet appeared to be that of crow feet with the bones being all there is with skin forming right bellow it's knees,the knees appear to be hands backwards but also moves forwards,like they move both ways,then thighs curve inwards from the knees with massive pointed hip bones that form an almost anorexic figure and the shoulders are extra slender,almost thinner than the hips, the arms are like the feet,the skin stops at the elbows to reveal bone shapped like crows feer,both hands and feet are the same,it's has dirty bandages all over it's body,torn with dried blood stains...before I get to it's face I see it's holding someone with it's mouth...It's holding...KYLE!!! W-what!? I quickly run towards it after seeing this but as I do it bites down and blood splatters it and the rest of Kyle's body,it's mouth...was easily 12 inches open with massive red teeth and black tounge that quickly stabbed into Kyle's neck from where it decapitated and started drawing his blood out quickly,his body slowly shriveled as it turned his organs and bones to mush then drank them...It's eyes where solid red with black irises...it had two massive horns bent in weird ways from the top of it's head also red and as he drained his blood the horns,eyes,teeth and veins got brighter red and it howled with so much more force than before,it shook the trees around us causing leaves to fall and blow past and it then it opened it's mouth fully and completely are Kyle's drained body in one bite like the skin from chicken...all I could do was retch and writh at the sight then fall to my knees..I can't feel rage or determination..all I feel is a deep pressure telling me to run as fast as I could away from here then it struck me heavily...the gate is wide open and the seal has been broken...that thing is free,I quickly spring back up and glare into it's endless red and black eyes with tears in mine then use my levitation ability to fly towards it at full speed but as I do within a flash it vanished then I heard a crunch noise...then all I could see was my vision face and feel a deep pain in my neck but before I fall I see what it did...it bolted past me and bite a chunk out of my neck..blood splatters and I just fall back to the ground then black out.......

(Third person pov) Karin emerges from the thick forest to see what happened,already holding his heavily bleeding shoulder with his shirt ripped up and cuts along his body and some burns. He glances to see kimmi bleeding out and unconscious then this emense feeling of rage fills his entire body,he shakes and wriths intensely , clenching his fists so hard they start bleeding then glares at the creature and growls "demon I will kill you,RIP the gem from your heart and stop this war~!" The demon chuckles with gutral sounds,blood still pouring from it's mouth then it growls out
..."Bonne chance avec ça, vous regarderez vos proches tomber, Kimmi est le prochain corbeau et récoltera ce monde de tout, sa vie ou sa mort signifie tout pour les démons, les anges et les humains, je ne suis pas là pour le tuer, juste pour moi utilisez-le comme mon proxy, le corbeau est l'arme la plus puissante dans cette guerre et je le grand démon azaria va gagner" with that the creature grabs kimmi,hoists him over his shoulder and flies away out the gate them vanishes without a trace......
