Hopper pulled up to the high school parking lot, putting the truck in park. He turned to Erin and Eleven, who were to the right.
"I'll pick you guys up at two," Hopper stated. Erin and Eleven nodded, and Eleven opened the car door. "Wait!"
"Gotta go!" Erin shrugged.
"Have fun!" Hopper shouted.
"Bye dad!" Eleven shut the door, and Hopper drove off.
"Who says have fun at school? I mean I get it when he drops me off at the arcade, or us at the pool. But at school?" Erin joked, walking into the high school. "And did you seriously call him dad?"
"I didn't call him dad." Eleven rolled her eyes.
"Jane, you said 'bye dad.'" Erin nodded.
"He's my adoptive father." Eleven shrugged.
"I mean I guess." Erin shrugged her shoulders.
"If you and Dustin get married, does that mean he'll be my brother?" Eleven asked, changing the subject.
"Brother in-law. And Dustin and I aren't getting married anytime soon." Erin chuckled.
"Did you seriously just call Hopper your dad?" Max asked, approaching.
"Nice to see you too, Max." Erin smiled.
"Yeah why the hell didn't you call?" Max turned to her.
"I didn't call anyone." Erin defended herself.
"You called Dustin!" Max raised her eyebrows.
"I didn't call Dustin, he threw rocks at my window everyday until I let him in." Erin explained.
"You shut everyone out. But now you have no excuse." Max smiled.
"Can we get back on topic? She called Hopper dad." Erin changed the subject.
"Erin that is the least of our worries right now." Max sighed.
"Why does everything always have to be about me?" Erin complained.
"Fine, we all know Hopper is Jane's adoptive daughter," Max paused. "He's going to adopt you soon. Sure he's in the midst of finding his daughter, and you lost a part of you, but he will."
"Jane?" Erin looked over at Eleven for her opinion.
"She's right." Eleven smiled, the two walked inside.
Erin sighed, standing there. She thought, crossing her arms, before she marched inside.
Steve pulled into a parking space, putting the car into park and turning to Dustin.
"Why are you putting the car in park?" Dustin asked, looking around.
"Pep talk." Steve answered.
"Steve, I don't need a pep talk." Dustin sighed.
"Okay I also need to talk to Nancy but not the point," Steve paused. "First day. You sure you ready for this?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" Dustin gave him a puzzled face.
"Okay you're right. Go learn or whatever." Steve waved him off.
"I'm waiting for Mike, Will, and Lucas." Dustin explained.
"Oh, right," Steve paused. "Talk to me about Erin."
"Why Erin?" Dustin questioned.
"She's your girlfriend. I'm like your older brother." Steve answered.
