Chapter 6: Search Party

Hopper threw his bag into the truck, walking over to the other side where Erin and Eleven stood.

"You seriously have to go right now?" Eleven asked.

"Yeah you could wait until this weekend where we could just come and help you find her for a day or two." Erin begged.

"We don't know if Sarah will be there any longer." Hopper argued.

"Just tell us if you find anyone else with powers." Erin shrugged.

"Please." Eleven smiled.

"Yeah, yeah," Hopper paused. "Joyce will come around ten every night to make sure you're sleeping. Steve will take you guys to and from school while I'm gone. Joyce's number is written down next to the telephone."

"So we have a curfew now?" Erin asked.

"Basically." Hopper nodded.

"What about on the weekend?" Eleven asked.

"Even on the weekend." Hopper answered.

"That is so unfair! You let us stay up past eleven watching TV all the time!" Erin complained.

"Hey I don't want to hear it. I'll be only gone for a few days, so you can suck it up." Hopper put the two in order.

Erin scoffed, crossing her arms. "Fine."

"Alright," Hopper paused. "Am I forgetting something?"

"A hug?" Eleven said softly, before Hopper pulled her into one. He then pulled Erin in too.

They let go, and waved goodbye as Hopper got into his truck and left. Erin and Eleven hurried back inside, grabbing their walkie-talkie. They all sat on the couch as Erin connected them to the right channel.

"Anyone there?" Erin paused. "Over."

"Bard Dustin reporting for duty!" Dustin responded, making Erin giggle.

"Paladin Mike reporting!" Mike said in a British accent.

"Ranger and Wizard are ready for commands!" Lucas and Will said the same time, obviously practiced.

"Speedster MadMax also reporting for duty!" Max exclaimed on the otherside.

"Sorcerer Erin and Mage Eleven are here! With news!" Erin smiled, looking up at Eleven who was giggling,

"What news may you have, thou sorcerer?" Dustin said with a accent.

"Thou father has left our castle for days! I reckon he's finding thou sista!" Eleven joked around. "Paladin, do you have any campaigns planned out?"

"Why yes, my lovely Mage, I do!" Mike flirted.

"I reckon we do so on Saturday!" Lucas suggested.

"Then we do so!" Erin kept herself from laughing with Eleven.

"Then let thy be! Over and out." Dustin laughed.

"This is Ranger and Wizard signing off! Over and out." Lucas and Will laughed.

"Goodbye my Mage, until next time," Mike paused. "Over and out."

"This is speedster speeding away. Over and out!" Max exclaimed.

"This is Mage and Sorcerer spelling there way out. Over an out!" Eleven smiled.

Erin and Eleven went into a giggling fit after turning off the walkie talkie.

"You were apart of MKUltra?" Kali hissed.

"I was the only one who survived without the uh..." Lily paused. "After effects."

"Wait so you don't have powers or something like that?" Cassidy leaned forward.

"Oh, I have powers. But they're not that uh," Lily got up to dump out the water from the kettle. "Strong."

"Wait so what can you do?" Kali questioned.

"I read minds." Lily nodded.

"So can Erin and I," Cassidy added on, Lily raising her eyes. "You didn't know?"

"I had no idea." Lily shook her head.

"There's a lot more people who can do more then just reading minds." Kali sighed.

"What can you do?" Lily looked over at her.

Kali took a deep breath and stuck out her hand. She closed it into a tight fist, before releasing and revealing a bright blue butterfly.

"Magic?" Lily asked. Kali snapped, and the butterfly faded away. "Or not so magic."

"I can make people see stuff that isn't real," Kali explained. She waved her hand over her mug, moving her hand she made the water float up into the air, before it dropped back down. "That wasn't real."

"How far do your powers go?" Lily questioned, amazed.

"Well I can make people appear, cause buildings to crash down, create buildings, and fake a death." Kali looked over at Cassidy.

"And more people have different powers?" Lily asked.

"I know someone who can manipulate time, I myself can make things move with my brain and also read thoughts." Cassidy explained.

"You have two powers?" Lily leaned forward.

"It had something with twin telepathy. I had telekinesis after being tested on, and Erin had telepathy from birth. When we started spending time with each other, we both gained each others powers." Cassidy explained.

"Incredible," Lily smiled. "Do you mind, showing me?"

"I don't at all." Cassidy smiled. She looked over at a vase with roses in it. She narrowed her head, focusing her powers. The rose petals fell off of a rose, before flying around. She put the rose petals back in the vase.

"That," Lily paused. "Now that was just incredible. And this Sarah girl, that you're trying to find, what can she do?"

"I'm guessing you read one of our minds," Cassidy chuckled. "And we're not sure. But, Brenner wanted Kali to fake Sarah's death so she could be tested on without her father knowing."

"So we connected that she must have been important to Brenner. We're guessing that she has powers." Kali added on.

"Alright well, I wish you the best of luck," Lily paused. "I have to get to a class, but feel free to take any food for the trip." She got up, putting her mug in the dishwasher. She swung her bag over her shoulder, grabbing a notepad. She waved goodbye, before leaving.

"Do you think we'll find Sarah?" Cassidy turned to Kali.

"I hope so. And I hope it draws Brenner's attention," Kali sighed. "Before we fight Brenner, you know what you have to do."

"Just because I know, doesn't mean I want to do it." Cassidy sighed.
