Erin smiled as she walked into the high school, waving goodbye to Eleven and Cassidy after changing Cassidy's schedule to where it isn't exactly hers. Homecoming posters were pasted all across the hallways of the high school, people gushing over the fact that there was a dance. She walked down the hall, entering the science classroom. Students were barely in the classroom, the teacher talking with Dustin. She walked over to the desk, sitting next to Dustin.
"Hey." She whispered, low enough to where the teacher couldn't hear. The teacher walked away, leaving the two.
"Hey," Dustin paused. "Is everything okay with Cassidy?"
"Yeah, I have news." Erin smiled.
"What?" Dustin narrowed his eyebrows.
"Hopper went on a date last night." Erin smiled.
"What? With who?" Dustin asked.
"Joyce." Erin nodded.
"No way." Dustin stated, gaping his mouth open.
"I know right?" Erin nodded. "And then we all got to talking and joked that Jonathan was possessed and that none of us would want him as our brother."
"Wait Jonathan is possessed?" Dustin asked.
"No he's not possessed, although it would make sense, he's not possessed." Erin reassured him.
"What do you mean it would make sense?" Dustin asked, leaning back in surprise.
"Well the way he's been acting isn't like him at all," Erin nodded. "And he's been... distant."
"I guess that's true." Dustin nodded.
"Yeah, but it's just a joke." Erin shrugged.
The bell rang, and the two turned to the front as more students piled in. Lucas and Max came in, sitting in the desk behind them, then Mike and Will sat in the desk next to them. Desks filled in quickly as the teacher wrote on the chalkboard, Erin zoning out. The zoning out then led to a vision.
"How much are plane tickets?" Kali asked, keeping her eyes on the road.
"Around five hundred. How much do we have?" She felt herself ask.
"We can get more from McFee. We just have to get to New York by midnight." Kali nodded.
"We have about," Cassidy paused. "What time is it?"
"We've been on the road for eight hours already, can't be any longer then that." Sarah sighed, looking out the window.
"We have about three hours left," Cassidy nodded. "Are we gonna eat anything when we get there? I haven't eaten since we left Hawkins."
"I'm sure we can get food at the airport, we just have to hurry." Kali nodded.
"Why are we-"
"-in such a rush?" Erin felt herself softly say, the vision ending.
"You okay?" Dustin turned to her.
"Yeah," Erin paused. "I think I just saw the future."
"Like future future or just a vision?" Dustin asked.
"What's the difference?" Erin asked.
"I don't even know," Dustin shrugged. "What's you see?"
"It was Cassidy, Kali, Sarah, and I in a car and we were going," Erin looked back at the teacher, "Somewhere."
"Do you remember where?" Dustin asked.
"No." Erin lied, looking over at him.
"If you do," Dustin grabbed her hand. "Tell me."
"Yeah, I will." Erin nodded.
Later that night, after Erin, Eleven, and Cassidy had returned from school and sat around waiting for Hopper to get home from work. Erin was sprawled across a chair, watching the TV as a movie played. Eleven sat on the couch next to Cassidy, watching the TV as well. Cassidy was reading one of the books that Erin and Eleven had already read before school started.
"I feel like we should talk about how our connection is being severed." Cassidy said, putting the book down and looking at Erin.
"Why?" Erin looked over at her shoulder to look at Cassidy.
"You has a vision today, and I didn't. That kind of means something, right?" Cassidy looked at Eleven, then back to Erin.
"Well I don't know, I've never had a severed connection." Erin shrugged.
"I have," Eleven spoke up, the two looking at her. "When we were younger, Kali and I used to share a room. It was called the rainbow room," Eleven paused. "When Kali left, the connection was severed."
"When did you know your connection was severed?" Cassidy asked.
"We just kind of assumed so. A couple days after she left I got the last vision of her, and never heard from her again." Eleven continued.
"So, when I left I-" Cassidy looked at Erin.
"You severed the connection." Erin nodded.
"How do I rebuild the connection?" Cassidy asked.
"Our connection never restored, even after we found each other." Eleven shrugged.
"So we might not get our connection back?" Erin asked, setting her feet on the ground.
"You guys are blood related and twins, I think the rules are a bit different." Eleven shrugged.
"I guess so," Cassidy paused. "I just hope we do get it back."
"It's not a big deal to me." Erin shrugged.
"What do you mean?" Eleven asked.
"I'd like to have it back, but if I don't, it's not the end of the world." Erin shrugged.
"There's a lot more things worse then the end of the world." Cassidy sighed, leaning back into the couch.
"You can say that again." Erin smiled, looking back at the tv and swinging her legs over the arm of the chair.
