Chapter 4 End

Kane looked at me, tears welling up in his eyes, he blinked them away. He looked disappointed in himself.

"I'm ashamed of you, Kane." I told him, keeping my voice calm.

"I know..." he whispered, and turned around letting me see his back, his gaze out the window.

"Happy life with you and Emily. I suppose." I mumbled, then my blood boiled again, "I can't honestly believe you!"

"I already know! LEAVE ME ALONE!" he yelled. I stormed back into my room, not casting him a second glance.

"Your last chance is gone Kane." I yelled. I felt the tie I had to Kane break, the only way a broken bond can be restored is by touch. Just one touch and I'm Kanes mate again.

I decided to sneak out of the window to avoid bumping into Kane, it I went out the door. Packing a few things like clothes and such, I decided to leave once and for all.

"Goodbye, Kane." I whispered, opening the window. A breeze of the air come by me, blowing m hair back.

Landing perfectly on me feet, I ran.

Kane's P. O. V.

I couldn't take it anymore, I had to have my mate, I don't want Emily. She's- Eh.

"Emily we've gotta break up..." I mumbled but she heard me. She looked at me. Glaring.

"Why? The brat's gone anyways!" she pouted.

"The brat? Uh..." I trailed off.

"Yeah, the brat. Problem?" her glare was piercing, it made me want to run and hide.

"Yes, there is a problem! She's not a brat, you are!" I shouted.

She looked taken back. "What?" she mumbled, her demeanor broken.

"I think you heard me, now I have to go find my mate." I growled.

Elsey's P. O. V.

I felt my body lurch, it's the three year anniversary of the day I left Kane. Most people would have died by now. Not me. I don't know why I haven't yet. I've been with out my mate for too long. The mark on my stomach is disappearing, and it's my 16 birthday. The day I can become alpha. My father stripped Emily of that title, and told me I was worthy of having it. So I am not alpha, starting today. Daddy said it's probably the only thing keeping me alive.

Brandon came over that day, only to tell me happy birthday.

"Hey, B." I said, giving him a hug. Derek was also here with me.

"Hello!" he said and gave me a hug. Everything was becoming fine, still not perfectly okay.

"Are you and Derek together?" he whispered in my ear.

"Yeah... touch him and I kill you." I said putting on a fake smile and then I giggled. 

"Okay, I wont... just wondering..." he said with a mischievous look on his face.

"Yep, you'll be dead by next week." I mumbled.

"Hm...?" he hummed.

"Shut up, B."

"Okay.." he mumbled releasing me. I walked over to Derek and kissed him on the cheek.

"Alpha female is back." Derek said with a smile.

"So is Alpha male." I jumped up and down excitedly.

"I WANT CAKE!" Brandon yelled and ran towards the kitchen. I followed closely behind him.

The door in the living room flew open and a mad looking Emily stormed in, "I HATE YOU, YOU LITTLE BRAT! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE! YOU RUINED MY CHANCES! I ABSOLUTELY HATE YOU! HE BROKE UP WITH ME BECAUSE OF YOU! UGH!" Emily screamed.

"EMILY, GET OUT! YOU'RE BANNED!" my dad yelled, standing up. Emily's attitude shrank, and she scurried out of the door. Kane came in behind her.

"Where-" he cut himself off. I was with Derek now, and he couldn't get back with me... could he?

"Elsey, I need to talk to you..." Kane pleaded, I felt a weakness form over my body, I felt like I did the first time Kane and I mated, I grabbed my stomach as it felt like it was on fire. A burning pain erupted all over my body. I crumpled to the ground, groaning I held my stomach.

We were together again. Mates. Partners.

"I don't want to be your mate, I'm with Derek." I muttered.

"Oh, you are?" he looked disappointed, "Sorry..." he walked away. The pain just got worse as he left, and I cried out in pain.

"Kane." I groaned, the scorching pain not letting up. He looked at me as I felt the pain die and I started to slip into unconsciousness. I felt my body start to shut down. I felt myself dieing.

"She's dying." Derek said, "Stay awake, stay awake." he demanded. I tried to keep my eyes open. i couldn't.

I heard feet shuffling around, and suddenly the pain lessened a bit. Kane picked me up.

"Stay with me..." he whispered in my ear, I felt him carry me over to the couch and lie me down, he crouched down next to me. Thinking back to the first time, I knew what he was about to do. He kissed me. This time he didn't pull away when he usually would, he stayed there, his lips pressed against mine. I heard Derek growl a little, but the pain in my stomach was gradually going away.

When Kane broke away, he mumbled, "I'm so sorry."

"Yeah me too." I whispered. The pain now gone.

He gave me a weak smile, and Derek tensed up.

"Come home, please, you can give the position fully to Derek and come back, be alpha female again..." he mumbled. Everyone had heard Kane speak. No one understood.

"Kane..." I began.

"Please, I know you don't love me any more, not after what I did, but please?" he whispered. A tear slid down my face, and I looked away from him.

"I'm with Derek now, I'm sorry." I mumbled.

"I understand..." he looked down at the ground floor, tears pricked my eyes.

"Thanks for understanding..."

"Go with your mate, I found mine." Derek said and looked at Kelsey, so did everyone else, she smiled at Derek. I giggled.

"Yeah, I can come home." I whispered and my father gasped.

"Well then..." he started, "GET OUT." my father finished pointing towards the door.

As we ran out side, Kane picked me up and kissed me on the lips. Sudden warmth rushed through me, and tingling feeling, almost.

"I'm sorry I cheated, it wont EVER happen again." he said, cupping my face in his hands.

"I know 'cause if you do, I wont hesitate to kill both of us." I threatened he smiled at me. And we went home.

"I'll take my stuff up to my room-" he cut me off, smiling a smile that showed his dimples.

"Our room." he said and took my bags up to OUR room.
