Len had a plan. Once he found Barry, he would hide and turn on his cold gun. He had installed a new feature that acted like a coldfield and slowed down however was in there. Then Caitlin would inject him with something that would knock him out.

No one else knew it, but Len was currently in contact with her father. She was feeding him intel, telling him where Barry currently was located.

That was how he and everyone else managed to catch the breath to Earth 49.

...

Barry looked around it wonder. Every new Earth was always so different, yet so similar.

And he loved exploring it.

Suddenly, he felt really cold. He looked down, and realized that Kate was shivering. What was going on?

He started to vibrate, only to realize that he could barely do so, and that it just made everything hurt.

Kate looked around, almost as if she was expecting someone.

Then Barry's nightmare appeared.

He looked around and realized he was surrounded by Team Flash and The Rogues. Lisa, Mick, and Len looked about ready to kill him.

Team Flash looked like they wanted to comfort him.

He didn't like either option.

He looked at Kate, and suddenly it hit him.

She had told Len.

That was why he was here.

He couldn't believe his own daughter had done this to him.

Suddenly, he felt something in his arm. He looked over to see Caitlin holding a needle.

He sighed. He didn't even care anymore.

What did he even have to live for? His daughter betrayed him, his fiancé had cheated on him, and his family was just a bunch of assholes.

As his eyes closed, Barry vowed that he would never be hurt again.

He would kill these bastards before then.

...

When Barry woke up in the cell, he could feel the eyes on him. He didn't want to talk, so he didn't open his eyes.

"I know your awake, Barry," he heard Len say. Barry ignored him, but he did open his eyes. He still felt cold.

Instead of looking at any of them, Barry studied the walls of his cage. "Why is it cold in here?" he asked coldly. (Pun. Totally. Intended)

"Because," Len said, and Barry decided to look up. It was only Len, no one else. "It was a way we could make sure you didn't escape."

Barry felt his anger boiling. "You know, I bet everyone up there thinks that I'm the bad guy. I'm the reason it went wrong. But it's not my fault. Sure, I did some stupid shit, but you started it. You fucking cheated on me! What was I supposed to do? I thought you were becoming your father!" Len looked shocked and hurt at the last comment.

"Don't think anything, Barry. I know it. You are so much like him, it's uncanny. Your the next Reverse Flash! Congratulations! Your exactly like the man who murdered your mother!"

Barry laughed then spit on the ground. "Well, at least I didn't kill my father."

Len's fake cheery mood vanished. "I made the world a better place," he growled. "How?" questioned Barry. "By teaching your daughter that it's ok to kill her parents just because they treated her wrong?"

...

Len was so angry, he saw red. He didn't remember what happened next.

...

Meanwhile, up in the Cortex, everyone was freaking out. "Len lied to us!"Lisa whispered angrily to Mick. Mick nodded. "He's gonna have to explain when he gets back up here."

...

Len opened the Barry's cage. Because of the coldfield, he couldn't run, which he realized rather quickly. Len picked up his gun, aimed it at Barry, and fired.

...

Barry saw the blue racing toward him. He felt it hit him.

He didn't care.

He knew he couldn't run away, so he didn't try to. He just stood there, and he could feel the cold calling to him, asking him to join it.

He almost wanted to.

But instead he opened his eyes, and stared Len in the face.

He wouldn't be a coward. He couldn't be.

The cold was starting to burn. Barry screamed in agony, but that didn't help, so he decided to focus on his best memory.

...

Flashback

Barry watched his mother cry. She always cried when she watched this movie. The mother's son looked scary similar to Barry, and the thought of Barry dying always broke her heart.

And when she cried, Barry would cry.

She smiled. "Shhhh," she whispered against his ear. "It's ok. Shh. Go back to sleep."

Then she would always sing a lullaby.

...

Lullaby, and good night, in the skies stars are bright.
May the moon's silvery beams bring you sweet dreams.
Close your eyes now and rest, may these hours be blessed.
'Til the sky's bright with dawn, when you wake with a yawn.

Lullaby, and good night, you are mother's delight.
I'll protect you from harm, and you'll wake in my arms.

Sleepyhead, close your eyes, for I'm right beside you.
Guardian angels are near, so sleep without fear.
Lullaby, and good night, with roses bedight.
Lilies o'er head, lay thee down in thy bed.

Lullaby, and good night, you are mother's delight.
I'll protect you from harm, and you'll wake in my arms.

Lullaby, and sleep tight, my darling sleeping.
On sheets white as cream, with a head full of dreams.
Sleepyhead, close your eyes, I'm right beside you.
Lay thee down now and rest, may your slumber be blessed.

Go to sleep, little one, think of puppies and kittens.
Go to sleep, little one, think of butterflies in spring.
Go to sleep, little one, think of sunny bright mornings.
Hush, darling one, sleep through the night,

Sleep through the night,
Sleep through the night.

...

And he would always fall asleep.

End of Flashback

...

Barry smiled sadly. It was a very bittersweet memory.

He decided that if he was going to die, he wanted to be humming that melody.

...

"Lullaby, and good night, in the skies stars are bright.
May the moon's silvery beams bring you sweet dreams.
Close your eyes now and rest, may these hours be blessed.
'Til the sky's bright with dawn, when you wake with a yawn."

Barry whispered under his breath. He closed his eyes so his last image would be of his mother's smiling face.

He felt his body start falling, but he didn't care. He was happy.

He was ready to die.

...

Note: The lullaby was originally performed by Jewels.

It is called Brahms Lullaby
