- The Next Day -

I had little time before the bell rang for the homeroom class. I was at a daze due to lack of sleep while sitting at the only available desk. It was behind the somewhat invisible girl, despite her visible U.A. uniform, named Hagakure. In my trance, it seemed like the morning has come and gone. In no time, it was already English class with Mr. Yamada.

No matter how tedious the class seemed, I forced my attention on the teacher's English lecture, but several things kept rushing into my head especially Inugami-sensei.

At 8 years old, my Dad was an upcoming hero at the local hospitals. Instead of fighting criminals on the street with his quirk, he did his best to aid the sick. He would take away people's sickness in exchange for his health. However, he always seemed well when coming home. I loved spending time with my Dad. He was healthy enough to give me piggyback rides and chase me when we played. I also loved my Mother. She was a beautiful and spirited woman but had no quirk. She had a job at the Endeavor Hero Agency as a secretary. She gave the impression like she was serious about her work. But every day she'd greet me with a warm smile.

One day, Mother was in a car collision on her way to pick me up from school. She was rushed to the same hospital my father was station at. Unfortunately, there was a fight between a villain and pro heroes that the ambulance took longer to arrive on the scene. My mother had major blood loss. There wasn't enough oxygen passing to brain, so she had died on arrival at the E.R.

That same day was the final time I saw either of my parents.

I, unluckily, got landed in a foster home for children without quirks. The other children would compare me to a "mutt" because of my hair being two different colors. Some told me that my parents left me because I looked like a "mongrel" that they didn't want. It would always make me feel devastated and miss my parents so much. My father had jet black hair and my mother had beautiful light blonde hair and blue eyes like me.

A year passed and I had an ambitious need to run away for the institution...so I did. I had gone missing for 3 whole days. Until, I came across a ramen shop that smelled like heaven to my famished stomach. It was cold that day, so I had stayed under the ramen shop signed close to the stand to keep warm. I had no choice but to stare and drool over customers' meals like a stray dog. The customers started complaining about a filthy child who wouldn't leave no matter how many times they told her to get lost.

Then, a nice young lady wearing a gas mask that looked like a wolf's snout and a forehead band with puffy gray ears offered me her ramen. She had a warm-looking cloak around her body to protect from the snow. I took the hot ramen bowl that had some eggs, pork, and beef meat leftover inside. She had removed her masked and asked me for my name or if I was lost. I was too busy filling my face. But soon my bowl became empty. I had wished desperately that I had more of this ramen as I looked down at the empty bowl. My body wanted nothing more than to keep eating this delicious food. Suddenly, my body had glowed a white thin outline light and the bowl in my hand made more ramen noodles with eggs and meat inside out of thin air. I didn't have time to think anything of it and continue eating.

After that, the nice lady had picked me up because I was falling into a slumber after eating too much in a rush. I had woken up inside the lady's apartment and she treated me to a warm shower and hot coco. We both sat at her table.

"I'm Reika Inugami" she gave me a ridiculous smiled, "how about you, little one?"

"I'm Rilee Nakamura", I replied lowly at my coco. I then remain quiet.
