Demon In My Face

I lie in the dark
In my bed and I can't move
It stares into my face

I open my mouth to scream
My screams are silent
It laughs at my fear

Feeling like I'm trapped in an abyss
My chest feels heavier as the air get more dense
Frozen in silence
It jumped from wall to wall 
Mocking me because I couldn't move
That sinister grin still haunts me
Seems like a nightmare so why won't I wake up
Perhaps this is reality 
The demon never harmed me
It only stalked
I woke up drenched in sweat
Praying & hoping the next time I fall asleep it doesn't return
