Cheerleader 1

Slinging over the adidas bag which contains the main things I need for my daily cheerleading practice - (yes, I'm a boy and a cheerleader but I'm not gay) my deodorant which attracts the women; the trainers and my wrist support because as a base I occasionally hurt myself.

Time to practice my amazing gymnastics before my best-friend Andrea picks me up and drops us at the gym or should I say the training place. I drop the adidas bag onto the soggy grass and sprints a short distance; completing a round-off as I land on my feet safely. I feel adventure lurking in my body and I used it to sprint a bit more and do the round-off with an added back handspring which led to my downfall.

"Landon, are you okay?" A voice behind me asked in a sarcastic way because why would you ask someone if there okay and they are practically on the floor? "Landon answer me!"

"I'm alright whoever you are." I looked over my shoulder with a fake smile because I love confusing people but this person could never stopped asking me if I was okay. "Will you ever shut up and who are you?"

The person stepped closer to me so I didn't have to hurt my neck before practice and waste my team's hard routine for the competition. "I'm Andrea's brother; we met Landon in competition the crazy boy in the front waving the mascot!" I nod, unknowingly but I can't exactly remember Andrea's brother so I guess he is because the amount of features similar - the brown hair and brown eyes but Andrea stands out more to me. (I don't love her though.)

"Simon or Jai or-" I got interrupted by Andrea as she leaps through the back door, waving vigorously at me whilst grasping her backpack with her cheerleading items. "Ryan let's go! We're almost late!"

"Hold it Andrea we got over 20minutes left of free-time or let's say practice time!" Andrea lets out her charming smile dropping her backpack right next to my adidas bag and used both of her free hands to lift me up the wet patch of grass. "Oh gross I'm wet.." I admit in my dirty-minded voice which allowed Andrea to laugh which I love.

"Landon, gymnastics; jumps or arms?" I start in a random place and then starts counting in the dominant voice 1-8 (we're not dumb we just love the number 8) then paces out the suggested routine arms making letters or shapes with our utensils and stops when Ryan claps very sarcastically. "Beautiful sis and Landon however Landon you look." He pauses in thought and I growl; stupid me being a cheerleader and get abuse from others well try and be a fit guy lifting girls up. "So gay."

Andrea made me breathless with the amount of times I had to repeat my jumps. Double straddle, pike and straddle into back handspring which I had to work on several training sessions about 10 times and Andrea's jumps are more easier - Double straddle, hurdler and then straddle into front walkover I would love that.

At the training session, spotting most cheerleaders from the higher up teams in our squad - Gavin and Jenika from Prophecy our level 6 contenders for Black Magic helping our young generation to get their back handsprings due to about 12/18 can do them and we are aiming for 18 or 17; I turned my attention to my team - Myths, Senior level 2.

"Hey LD!" I turn on my heels and does a round-off towards my other best mate Henry, a cheerleader whose been in a different team unfortunately he moved towns and had to join a different team and he has found us! "Alright, Myths we need to practice our gymnastics and then the stunt and pyramids!" Coach Meghan commanded and a few chorused 'Yes Coach' and 'Let's go' went throughout the room and I shoke my head hesitating; Andrea waved at me curiously to check if I'm alright.

Everyone split up and used 2 corners of the mats we believe is our version of the competition mats, Henry starts off with a front walkover into a row of back handsprings then Delilah and followed by Andrea; walkovering and supported back handspring by our gymnast coach Mikael. "Better!" He commented as he analyses that he is holding up most of the team; striking backwards in well-structured movements. The flow of gymnastics carries on and I sprinted and took my turn doing the level 2 required gymnastics linked by a single step or low jump - Roundoff, back handsprings x 3 and then back walkover.

I do the small motion which leads me to face back at the corner and does the walkover into a handspring, crash  bang whoop.

-(Change of POV -> From Landon to Andrea)

Did I just see Landon falling? Not before competition! Not before we compete with out rivals! Why can't it be someone from Hawford Gods? Me and Henry spotted this right away; I got hold of his legs and Henry with his arms and we took him to the fluffiest chair for support. "God, Henry I swear this could happen to another team instead of us and poor Landon." I pant hard, trying to hold in my emotions for Landon in the sight of pain.

"Henry! Andrea train and I'll take care of Landon!" Our coach insisted and I cross my arms over my chest angrily, I want to take care of my best-friend. "Andrea, practice or 20 press-ups!"  I tap my foot to the beat of our cheer mix; staring coldly at my coach handling Landon as a children's toy. Henry was already back at the mats, rehearsing his back handspring-walkover which looks complete and utter perfect occasionally one or two slip-ups which led to him tumbling onto the mats unhurt of course. I get into the position for the press-up with slight hesitation, pumping my body to the right number and then to exit I done a walkover to the mats to join the team.

"Right Henry, shall I call Landon's mum in break?" Henry shuddered; probably guilty but what did he do? Our team gathered in our stunt groups except for the group which included Landon; I counted 1-8, for my group as I'm the back base, Delilah started with her scorpion then she used her left arm to move her flexible leg to become a bow and arrow afterwards she made it scales before cradling and releasing her to do a back walkover out of mine, Olivia and Riley's hold. I moved quickly to allow Landon's group up but the aura is different without his spirit in his group. Jennifer copied the stretches which all flyers do to achieve high marks in competition which is soon.

Landon please be okay for this.
