"Guys! No... I take it back," I said, as Ronnie and Max dragged me further and further away from school campus.
"Too late!" Max laughed, Ronnie joining him. I rolled my eyes at the both of them.
"I hate you guys. And when you bring me back I'm never, EVER speaking to any of you ever again!" I said, giving up on trying to get away from them. The girps they had on my shoulders were like vices
"Nice try, McFaulen. We know you've slowly but surely begun to love us. Admit it!" Ronnie laughed
"Maybe. But it's a bad thing. A very, very bad thing. One of those things that shouldn't happen, not ever," I started to ramble
"Shhh," Max told me, putting a hand over my mouth. I licked it.
"Gross!" he yelled, letting me go and wiping his hand on Ronnie, who also yelled.
"Max! Ronnie!" someone yelled. I looked for the source, but Max and Ronnie ran. I stood there confused but then thought 'Oh, hey. These kids know this area better than you do. If they're running, you probably should too,' and then, I panicked. I took off as fast as my legs could carry me in the same direction Ronnie and Max had dissapeared to. I stopped when I came to a chain link fence and saw Ronnie jump from the top and land safely on the other side, Max was already waiting for him.
"There you are. Thought you got caught!" Max laughed
"Yeah. You assholes left me!" I yelled at him, still not making any moves to climb the fence.
"Sorry. But when it comes to Old Helga, every man for himself." Ronnie said
"Who?" I asked
"We call her Old Helga, we don't know her real name. But she's fat and German, and hates us. We always cut across her backyard and climb this fence, that's why I was telling you to be quiet, but you decided to lick my hand and make me scream and she heard us!" Max whined, glaring at the hand he put over my mouth. I snickered, but then went wide-eyed
"We were in her backyard?!" I yelled at them. They both smirked
"Technically, you are still in her yard." Ronnie said, pointing up to the fence. My eyes got as big as saucers
"You suck! I can't climb fences. Why didn't you tell me I'd have to?" I whined
"Oops." Ronnie shrugged and tried to look innocent. I flipped him off then looked at the fence and gulped.
"Just climb the damn thing! And fast, she's coming outside," Max said, pointing toward the house. I looked over and sure enough I saw her opening her front door.
"I can't climb!" I yelled
"Learn!" Ronnie and Max both yelled.
"I'm a fucking tresspasser now!" I whined, puting my first hand and foot on the fence.
"You sure as hell are!" I heard a deep German accent from behind me. I didn't even turn around before I let out a bloody murder scream. Ronnie and Max let out similiar noises, only much higher pitched. The look of pure terror on their faces was great, and the way Max fell trying to run away was even better, I would of laughed if I wasn't in the same situation. I was up and over that fence in record time, although I did rip my jeans. We ran up the hill on the other side before turning around. 'Old Helga' was holding a baseball bat, which caused Max to scream louder and shove Ronnie to the ground before taking off. I helped Ronnie up and then we took off as well. We didn't stop running until we made it to the street corner
"Nice ass Laura," Ronnie said breathlessly from behind me. I looked at my but and sure enough, it was on display.
"Oh my god!" I shreiked, trying to cover it up, and failing miserably. I ended up shoving Ronnie in front of me so he'd stop staring.
