"Yes. You'll fall like all pretty petals do." Jiyong stroked a strand of Y/N's hair.

Y/N turned and tried to run but Jiyong still had her arm in his grip and she screamed. Jiyong growled as her scream echoed through the street but there was nobody around.

He pushed her into a small alley, the same one she'd pulled Yugyeom into after Jooheon appeared. She felt those emotions again. The utter and complete terror when Jooheon had attacked her. It was just like what happened with Jooheon.

Jooheon had cornered her in his house after she rejected his advances. He'd shouted at her and pushed her, begging her to tell him why he was so mad for her and what use it was. Y/N cried and Jooheon just laughed. He'd slapped her and called her pathetic but then immediately apologising and claiming that he loved her. She'd used that weakness to escape and left him screaming after her.

Jiyong held her down by her neck and she cried and shouted but nothing came out. He laughed too, at her helplessness but she knew there was no weakness to him. His hold was stronger than Jooheon's but this time there was no emotional connection for him to crumble.

The corners of her eyes darkened and she almost gave up. Suddenly, Jiyong was pushed aside and into the wall. Jiyong grunted as he hit the brick and slid down the wall in pain. A tall figure pushed him into the floor and punched him over and over. She swore she could see the blood flying from his mouth in the dimming daylight. Squinting, Y/N sat up and saw who it was.

Yugyeom.

Yugyeom pummelled Jiyong into the ground and didn't stop.

"Fuck you! How dare you? She. Is. My. Soulmate." Yugyeom spat at Jiyomg between punches before wiping his forehead and cradling his knuckles. He looked down at the pathetic man on the floor before running over to Y/N who was sobbing on the floor. He wrapped his arms around her but she flinched.

"Sh..I told you I'd protect you." He rocked her back and forth and tried to soothe her.

"B-but Jooheon and now..how do I know you're not lying?" Yugyeom grabbed her face as she mumbled and looked at him terrified.

"Do I look like Jooheon? Do I look like that asshole? No." Yugyeom cocked his head at Jiyong who was unconscious and looked into her eyes as he leaned in. Y/N hesitated but closed the gap and kissed Yugyeom before falling completely into his arms.

"I love you Yugyeom. I'm so sorry. I love you." She sobbed into his chest, grabbing at his shirt to make sure he wouldn't go away and Yugyeom laughed quietly out of relief.

"I couldn't stop thinking about you. I love you too Y/N" Yugyeom kissed her again and squeezed her tightly before letting a single tear roll down his cheek. He too, was terrified but he had to stay strong. For her. For his soulmate.

Yugyeom pulled her up and held her hand tightly as they walked out of the alley. Y/N steered clear of Jiyong's body but Yugyeom kicked him on his way but there was no response.

Yugyeom had agreed to go back with Y/N. She lay in her bed, cuddling her brother Jisung as Yugyeom sat on the edge of the bed with her back facing him. He stroked her back to soothe her while whispering to her. Yugyeom had no idea if she was asleep but whether she was or not he didn't care.

"I know there will be rough patches, but I'm going to give everything I have. I will try my hardest to overcome the lows...for you. For us."
