The Kiss

Mon-el, with his arms wrapped around Kara, realizes what is happening. He pulls away just as quickly as he kissed her and starts to stutter,
"I'm- What- Uhm- I don't uhm, I don't know why I did that Kara I'm sorr-" But before he could finish his sentence she pulls him back in an kisses him. Seconds feel like minutes, minutes feel like hours.
For Kara it had been seven months since she had last saw him. For Mon-el it had been seven years. But both of them were just as desperate to see, hug, and kiss each other again.
They pull away from the kiss and Mon-el looks at Kara confused. She smiles at him and says,
"I thought we made an agreement back at the DEO. No more apologies." He looks up and smiles to himself. He kisses her again and says,
"You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that."
"I know what you mean, Mon-el. Even though it was k my seven months for me, it was really hard. I was just out of place. I wasn't myself and waking up everyday with out you next to me and knowing that I wouldn't be able to see your face or hear your laugh was the worst of it all. And... I didn't know if you were alive or dead and I-I-I blamed myself because I was the one that put you in that damn pod. For the longest time I thought you were dead and I just fell apart..." Kara started breaking down into tears. Mon-el pulled her in and held her tight. He could see the pain in her eyes. He lifted her chin, looked into her eyes and said to her,
"Hey, I'm here. You saved me. Yes, we were apart for a long time whether it was months or years but we will always find our way back to each other. Always." Kara nods and Mon-el wipes away her tears. He cups her have and kisses her. Kara puts her arms around his waist and Mon-el rests his chin on her head. They stand there in silence holding each other, never wanting to let go again. Remembering how it was before all of this happened and wondering where they would be if he didn't get sent away.
After what feels like hours they look at each other, smiling.
"So you're staying here? With me?" Asks Kara.
"Why are you even asking me that?" Mon-el says smirking, "Of course I'm staying."
"Then I need you to do something for me. Kind of like a favor you could say."
"Sure. What is it?" Asks Mon-el curiously. Kara looks up smiling at him and says,
"I need you to wake up with me." Mon-el smiles at her and tears form in his eyes. Not sad tears, but happy ones. He knows that he is finally home with the woman he loves. He kisses her and says,
"I would love to." He pulled her close to him and kisses her forehead. They stood there together in that field. It felt like a dream. But they both knew it was very real, and they were both happy to, finally, be reunited.
