It was a great year for blonde and brunette, we became more of friends. We were friends but we didn't eat with each other, and we didn't hang out at recess. It was a good friend relationship but one that wasn't joined at the hip close. That year we both became friends with a girl named Kate. She was Korean but spoke english and was very nice and funny. We had homeroom with her and we had so many inside jokes. We all became great friends. But that year Kate told us that she was going back to Korea and may or may not come back. Blonde and brunette didnt know what to do, we wanted her to say and tried to convince her but her parents already decided. The year went by fast and ended. Blonde and brunette that summer were always bored my friends could never hang out this summer and neither could blonde's friends. So we always hung out that summer and thats how we got so close. We would always go to her pool and get snacks and spit water at each other. It was a summer i will never forget. Kate was leaving that summer and we wanted to invite her to the pool with us because it was the last time she could hang out before she left. We had a blast that day and took some pictures before she left. Blonde and brunette watched as she walked away through the field of grass and that would be the last time we would see her.
