"Dude. You do know that what you are doing isn't going to solve anything. Just man up and forget about her. Anyway, we all told you she was no good. She was too perfect. Everyone knows that nobody that perfect can exist." Right now, I am packing my clothes and getting ready to get the hell out of Houston. My main man, Raymond, was trying to talk sense into me as my mother had tried doing only moments ago. " You don't understand. What she did to me is enough to make a man go mad. And to think I was going to actually propose to that whore. I need to just get out and live a little more. Who knows, I might find someone better?" With that said, I walked down the steps, taking two at a time, and put my bags in my car. In all truth, I was not going to associate myself with any woman on my trip. I was doing this to get away from love not find it.

"Dude, don't do this. What am I to do here without you? Just work it off. You are good at doing that anyway." Raymond was still trying to get me to stay. Like dude, I need to do this. I am a grown ass man who can make his own destiny.

" If my mum put you up to this, please just go back home to your wife and son. You are not going to change my mind."

He shrugged and walked over to his Lexus. Before he got in his car, he yelled over to me and said,  "Just be careful Joshua. Don't come back all broken and stuff."  I sat in my car and before I closed the door I yelled out,  "Would never dream of it." With that, I put the car in drive and drove away. I was going to live my life and forget all about love.

Could we just take off already? I am getting agitated now. The captain said we were having some technical issues, but should be taking off soon.

The person who was to sit next to me was a no show. Maybe it was for the best.

All of the sudden, a woman with a petite frame and golden brown hair came running down the aisle. She plopped herself down right next to me. She was pretty good looking and her blushing face made her look like she ran a marathon.

She was trying to fix her hair when she finally noticed me sitting there.

Her hazel eyes widened as she acknowledged my existence.

"Oh! Hi! Name's Christa. First time flying so if I am jumpy don't think I am on drugs. Although, I do have this medicine that I take."

The whole time she was talking, I was thinking of how screwed I was.
