Ok so I've kept you waiting long enough. What's going on behind Noah's door ?????😜 enjoy guys, please vote if you like it, comment and/or follow xxx

I stand there at the door, holding the plate with the piece of cake. He's changed since I saw him on the landing, and is wearing a costume. Cream trousers, dark blue waist coat over a white shirt and a pale blue cravat. I see there's a dark frock coat hung over a chair. What amused me is he hasn't noticed me there. He's pacing up and down muttering to himself. I cough and he instantly stops and stares at me, caught completely by surprise.

"Shelly, I..I promise I wasn't going to come down unless you asked me to but I wanted to be ready just in case. This wasn't me presuming anything I swear." He moved his hands up and down indicating his attire.
"Don't get yourself all worked up, looks like you were already getting pretty stressed already with all that pacing."
"How long were you stood there?"
"Long enough, I brought you some cake. Sit down you're making me tired with all that fidgeting."

He sat down on his bed and I sat down next to him feeling suddenly shy. I hadn't been in here for a long time and it made me feel nervous.
He took the proffered plate of cake from me and took a bite, leaving a small glob of frosting on the corner on his mouth. I couldn't help it so I reached up to wipe it away with my finger. Lingering a little too long before averting my eyes.
"So Shelly, er what did you hear while you were spying on me." I know he's trying to make a joke of it, he's just as twitched as I was.
"Nothing, just sounded like you were muttering away to yourself."
"Oh, well would it impress you if I told you I'd been practicing the lines from pride and prejudice when Mr Darcy tells Elizabeth how much he loves her."
He's staring at me full force now and I can't look away.
"It depends if you get it right." I'm struggling to breath now, this corset isnt helping.
"I would, but all coherent thought sort of washed away when you touched my mouth just then. What you're wearing isn't helping much either."
I broke his gaze then, unable to hold it any longer. I was flushing so hard I thought I might light the way for overhead flights into LAX.

He lifted his hand to my chin to make me look at him, placing the plate on the bedside table.
"Shelly, I know I've given it all the swagger about winning you back but I'm dying here. I couldn't help myself earlier. I heard them singing happy birthday down stairs and I had to go look at you in case you didn't call for me. I miss you so much. You are in my thoughts night and day and I can't bare the thought of you hating me still. I love you so much it's physically painful. More than when I crashed that fucking bike. Please tell me I've got a chance. I can't wait any more."

I sit there transfixed, he has just poured his heart out again and I can't take much more. When a tear falls from his eye I reach up and brush it away.
"I saw you on the landing, I knew you were watching. Yes, Noah you still have a chance. I'm pretty sure there's not many women who'd not be broken down by the whole roses every day routine. I certainly don't hate you, I wished sometimes that I could. It would have been easier." He's smiling at me now and I struggle not to smile back it's so infectious.
"Shelly?"
"Yes, Noah?"
"I'd really really like to kiss you right now, but let me close the door."

He stands up, closes the door and comes back over to me.  Sitting closer this time, he takes my hand and kisses it. Before looking back into my eyes questioning me with out words. I nod my reply and he lets go of my hand and caress's my face, looking at me as though memorising every little feature. Slowly he leans in to me and gives me the lightest, sweetest kiss. He tastes like home and I am left wanting when he pulls away.
"Thank you Shelly, that was worth waiting for. I'm going to eat the rest of this cake now." And he leans over me to reach it from where he'd placed it. I watch him take the biggest bite and he looks at me.
"What? I've been staring at this cake all day and it's been calling to me." He mumbles through bites. I eye him, scowling at him slightly. "Oh, you want to make out some more don't you? Well you made me wait." He's grinning at me, and I stand up, not before he pulls me roughly onto his lap, making me squeal. "Shelly I'm kidding! Seriously there's no cake in the world more appealing to me than you are in that dress." His eyes flick to the area that's been conveniently pushed further up by the corset. I scowl at him some more, and he touches my forehead. "Stop frowning, you'll get wrinkles Shelly." I playfully slap his hand away and he catches my hand wrapping it round his neck. I reach up my other hand and join it there. Twiddling with the hair at the nape of his neck. "God that feels good." He utters and then kisses me so hard I'm taken aback but catch up to him quickly, tasting the cake he's just eaten, sweet on his lips.

We fall back on his bed and make out, just kissing and holding each other for a long time. I can't get enough of him but I'm aware that there's a party going on down stairs. My party at that, so I reluctantly pull away and he pouts at me. "Don't pout Noah, you'll get wrinkles." I repeat his words back at him.

Standing up I straighten out my dress, and stretch my arm out to help him up. He just lays there looking at my hand. "Well Shelly, it's been a long time. I sort of need a few minutes to regain my er.... composure. Pass me the rest of that cake it'll help me." I chuckle at him and hand it to him while he stays laid on his bed.
"Well I guess those style of pants don't really leave much to the imagination if you've lost your.....composure as you so put it." Laughing at me he just finished the cake then finally stands up.
"I'd rather just keep you up here and loose my composure plenty,  but it's your party and you need to get down there." He kisses me on the cheek and stays stood there.
I look back at him as I'm reaching for the door handle.
"Aren't you coming with me?"
I eye him, thinking he's really just going to let me go down by myself. "I told you Shelly , I wasn't going to go to your party unless you called on me to come." Rolling my eyes, at him I watch him smirk at me. He's really going to make me ask him. "Noah, I thought you didn't hurt your head in that accident. In case you hadn't realised,  on the bed right there was invitation enough."

He turns to get his coat but I stop him. "No, leave it off. I can admire you better without it." His eyebrows shot up at my candidness. "Really Shelly, you really are getting saucy in your old age. Making a gentleman like myself go without his frock coat in public, capital offence.  As it's your party though,  I'll leave it off just for you. I may even find a lake for you somewhere so I can dive in and come out looking all windswept and wet."
Wow, he really had been reading the book. With that we made to go down stairs to join the party.
