Life Without Noah Flynn ✔️

Reunions are so sweet.

I jumped into Lees car and just watched him as he huffs and gets himself out to put my suitcase in his boot.
He got back in and smirked at me. Packing light I see Shelly. I just laugh at him and tell him he's my big strong man.
He pulls away from the kerb and I sit there in companionable silence for a while but I'm dying to know how his date night went last night.
'So how was Rachel's birthday dinner last night. Did you have a good time?'
I smile coyly at him and turn to watch his face. Which by now is slowly colouring up to make his cheeks redden.
'Look Shelly I know that Rachel talked to you about her ...um plans but a gentleman never kisses and tells. But we totally did it last night but I'll spare you the details girlfriend'
He said that last part in a mock girly voice that was just so Lee. I squealed and just told him I was glad for him.

'Now don't think that's some invite for you to tell me all about what you and my brother gets up to this weekend. I'm happy but I'm not that happy OK!'

'Lee, for a start you know I wouldn't and are you forgetting we'll be in an apartment with your parents all weekend'

It was my turn to blush now and I just turned my face, wound down the window and let the air blow on my warm face.

'Look Elle, as much as it pains me to think about it, after last night and knowing what it's all about.  I doubt my brother is not going to think up some way to get you on your own. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, I saw Rachel last night and ....well, you get what I'm saying.

Thankfully by this time we've reached School now so I get to close that conversation.
He was right though, not seeing Noah was making me insane, and I know Noah had made a few jokes about him being in regular contact with his right hand.
I brush those thoughts from my mind and concentrate on just getting through one class at a time.

The sound of the final school bell is music to my ears. My heart starts pounding but I tell myself to calm down. It'll be hours till I actually see him, what will I be like then.
'Hey Elle!'
I turn round and see Justin running after me. I stop and wait for him to catch up with me.

'So I just wanted to wish you happy travels and ask you to keep your eye out for any eligible bachelors while you're there. Pictures would also be nice you know!'

'You're such a man-slut Justin but I promise you, I'll keep my eyes peeled for you and thanks for stepping up for me with the dog walking'

I hug him good bye and as I turn to leave he playfully slaps my ass. I notice that Olivia is across the hall and was watching. Justin just winks at me and laughs with me.

We had all bundled into the Flynn's car and headed out to the airport. I sat in the back with Lee listening to our favourite songs via earbuds.
By the time we'd boarded I was so excited I was practically bouncing on the too small seat.

'Calm down Shelly they might think your having a seizure and stop the plane from taking off'
I swat his arm but take his point. So just stick on some chilling tunes on my iPod and settle down for the flight.

Our plans were to get our bags and get the hire car from the airport then drive straight to the apartment to settle in. We'd drive over to Noah's dorm and go out for something to eat after he's finished whatever work he'd been slogging away at.

As usual when you're in a hurry, my bag was the last one off the conveyor belt. I braced myself to grab it and heard some one say. 'Can I help you with that Ma'am it looks less than minimalist'
My breath hitches and I spun round to see Noah in board shorts and a hoddie looking every bit the hunk I had remembered. His hair was slightly damp and a little longer but boy was he hot.
I jumped into his arms making him miss my case, sending it back around for one more lap. His arms around me were so tight and it felt like home.
Tears were bursting from my eyes in happiness  and he claimed my lips in a quick kiss which was so sweet but too quick for my liking.
'I'm sorry for telling a little white lie to you but I wanted to surprise you. I hope you don't mind.' He growled into my ear softly.
Is he kidding this was the best surprise ever!
I heard June laugh and Noah gently slid me back down out of his arms grabbing my hand instantly.
'Ok once you two have stopped slobbering could you grab her bag so we can get going'
Lee said with a look of mock anger on his face. Noah put his free arm round his little brother and said. 'Missed you too bro'

I grudgingly let go of his hand to let him hug his Mom and Dad before he grabbed my case.
We picked up the hire car and sped away from the airport. I sat in the back in the middle of Lee and Noah. Holding his hand the whole way while we just stared at each other, taking each other in. Don't get me wrong, I'd have loved to spend the whole ride making out but his Mom and Dad were in the car after all.

Noah asked if we could stop at his dorm room before we went to their apartment. He wanted to show us all where he was staying and grab his bag.

So he'd be staying with us at least, it'd mean I could spend as much time with him as possible.
We pulled up at his building and I looked in awe at the campus. Green lawns, people milling about and having fun. I could definitely see myself here next year.
Before we walked away from the car I remembered my gift for him. It was in a gift bag so I could sneak it to him when no one was watching. I wanted to see it there in his room. Put it someplace I thought would catch his eye before he goes to sleep.
And so off we went hand in hand with his family in tow.
