Okay, if we're being honest, Azazel did not expect Cas to go all rage mode on her. Now, as she stood there with a knife to her throat, she could see why Gabriel wanted her to lie. Why he said getting involved was such a bad idea.

What are you?

The question echoed in her head. What was she? Azazel honestly didn't know how to explain it without possibly getting stabbed. She was a demon, but she was also human. Yet at the same time she was something else all together. Azazel was just, well, Azazel.

Time seemed to pass more slowly as Azazel worked up the nerve to speak.

"Woah, Cas calm down." she said, once again hiding behind a mask of bravado.

"You are no angel. What are you? What have you been planning?" Castiel spat. At this point, Azazel didn't know whether she should tell the truth.

"Okay, okay. You're right. I did lie about being an angel, but that doesn't mean that I lied about wanting to help. I know this seems sketchy, but right now we have bigger fish to fry." Azazel reasoned. "You said the boys prayed to you?"

Castiel paused before responding "Yes."

Azazel eyed the knife in his hands before saying "Well maybe instead of doing this we could help them. I promise, I'll explain everything to you later but Sam and Dean could be dying out there."

Cas took a moment to mull over her words. Lowering his knife he said " Okay but if you try to escape I will have no hesitations about killing you."

Azazel nodded and took his hand. They both were teleported to the boys.

Azazel noticed that they looked sullen and defeated. Surprisingly they were already back at Bobby's.

She went to take a step towards the boys, but Castiel grabbed her roughly by the arm, pulling her back.

"Woah, Cas, take it easy." said Sam, noticing Cas' harshness.

"She lied to us!" Cas said. At this both boys stood up.

"What?" said Dean.

Cas looked at him and explained, " Lucifer had us captured. We were surrounded by a ring of holy fire and she walked through it like it was nothing. She is no angel!"

Dean looked at Azazel "Who the hell are you?"

"Okay, I know You're mad," She said " and you have every right to be, but you have to know that I wasn't lying about helping you. My name is Azazel and I'm the antichrist. Please don't kill me."

She added on that last bit so fast it slurred together. Dean balked at her words.

"The antichrist? Like freaking Lucifer?" he said.

"Um... yeah kinda" Azazel said. "But it's not what you think! I'm not with Lucifer or anything, in fact, I'm trying to avoid him and Michael. I don't want the apocalypse to happen! I want to help you guys stop it."

"If you're such a saint, why the hell did you lie to us about who you are?" Dean countered.

Azazel sighed. "Dean, come on, I know your not that dense. Do you really think that, if I had been honest about this, you still would've let me join? What would you have done if I went up to you and said Oh hey guys, my name is Azazel and I'm the freaking antichrist. Yeah, like that evil thing from the bible! Oh and by the way, if my name sounds familiar it's because my father named me after him. You know, Azazel, that demon who killed your mom. Yup, he's my dad. And, did I mention that I'm supposed to help Lucifer win? No? Whoops, my bad. So you wanna be friends?"

Sam and Dean looked at each other. They had to admit, her story did make sense. Sam was the first to speak.

"So, how do we know that we can trust you?" he asked.

Azazel straightened and suddenly Cas was thrown back, his grip on her arm now broken. "Because, don't you think that if I wanted to hurt you, I would have done so already" Azazel said "It's not like I couldn't easily take Cas out and snap both of your necks. I am immensely powerful. I could take out the entire host of heaven with a thought. That's why Lucifer wants to kidnap me and that's why Michael wants me dead. Any side that possesses me has a serious chance at winning and, luckily, I've decided to put my money on you guys."

The boys nodded at each other in approval.

"Alright we'll believe you, but no more of this lying crap. You pull another stunt like this and, powerful or not, you're gone." said Dean.

Azazel nodded, "That's fair."

In all of the drama Azazel had been to caught up in defending herself to notice that it was just her, the Winchesters, and Cas. She looked around before asking, "Where are Joe and Ellen? Did they go home already?"

She didn't really need an answer because the pain on their faces said it all.

"They died" Dean said.

Azazel couldn't find the words to form a proper answer, so she just apologized not knowing what else to say. They all went to bed hoping that, tomorrow, they would get a win.
