The drive was unbearable. It was impossible to keep my limbs from quaking, and it was even more difficult to drive in a strait line with my arms turning to jello. 

But now, with Kim’s strong arms around me, my nose in her hair. It was worth it. I was all worth it. The screaming, the crying... The countless nights I spent up cursing myself for being such a terrible mother... Here she is. Healthy. 

She’s fixed. She’s cured. 

My baby’s coming home.
