"I don't know where you got your looks from. You're not handsome in the slightest."
Zen curled up on the couch, covering his ears. His mom usually told him hurtful words, and his brother wasn't always there.
"You better become someone worth of having our name, Hyun. You better."
Zen turned in his bed, waking Jumin up. The dark haired man turned to face Zen, and noticed the look on his face. He had seen Zen like this a few times, but whenever he asked, Zen wouldn't answer and avoid the question.
Jumin sat up, still facing Zen. He moved his bangs from his face, and gently ran his hand through Zen's hair in an attempt to calm him down. Zen leaned into his hand, smiling softly. Jumin held Zen's hand tightly, and laid back down.
Morning came, and Jumin was the first one to wake up. He noticed that Zen had curled up near him, hugging him. Jumin tried to move, but Zen's hold was strong. Jumin frowned, and tried again.
"Every morning." Jumin sighed. "Zen, let me go."
"No. Let's stay in bed today," Zen mumbled, apparently awake now.
"You know I can't. You also have things you need to do, don't you?" Jumin asked, finally getting out Zen's arms.
He wouldn't admit it out loud, but already missed Zen's warmth. He'd rather stay with Zen, but he really needed to go.
"Unfortunately, yeah." Zen rolled over, and Jumin frowned.
He got on the bed, and leaned to give him a kiss on his cheek. He whispered something, but Zen pushed him away with a laugh.
"That tickles, you jerk. Go get ready before you're late, and get yelled at by your dad," Zen told him, turning to face him.
Jumin nodded, and went to take a shower and get dressed. Zen stayed in the bed, and got a strand of hair. He looked at it, upset at seeing its color. Zen bit his lip, and tossed his hair over his shoulder.
"What did Jumin see in me?"
"I love you."
Zen laughed bitterly, tears forming in his eyes.
"I'm not worth much. Maybe this is all just a game," Zen mumbled. "That is what I've been told. Maybe it's true."
Zen sat up, and cleaned his tears. He heard Jumin come out of the bathroom, already dressed. He would eat breakfast with his dad like he did every morning. He said goodbye to Zen, and headed out. He had said he had something to do, but today was just a lazy day for him.
Zen got ready for the day, and started to make himself breakfast. He ate alone, like most mornings when Jumin left. He got his phone, and started to talk to anyone who could.
"Seven? Are you busy?" Zen asked once the other picked up.
"Hm? Not really. What's up?" he answered.
"I'm alone. Jaehee is working, Yoosung is too busy playing his games or maybe sleeping. Either way, he didn't pick up," Zen told him, walking to the living room.
"I see. I can go over there if you want. Is my cute kitten there?" Seven asked, and Zen could imagine the hearts in his eyes.
"No. I don't think so. She's probably around somewhere where she won't cause my allergies to act up."
"Too bad for you. Cats are the best."
"Why are you talking about cats? Just come over if you're going to," Zen told him. "Oh, and don't bring Elizabeth anything. Jumin will just throw it away."
"Jumin just doesn't understand my love," Seven said with a sad sigh.
"I'd say that your love is abuse. You're a sadist if that's your kind of love," Zen told him, earning a laugh from the other.
He looked through the channels on the TV, and didn't find anything. He just left it on a random channel that ended up being about cooking.
"You don't understand it either~ I'm no sadist at all," Seven responded. "I'm already going. Set up the game consoles. Jumin isn't there, is he?"
"Of course not." Zen frowned. "He's working. As usual."
"You sound very upset." Seven giggled. "You're a workaholic too, Zen. Even though I wouldn't call Jumin that."
Zen rolled his eyes. He went to turn on the consoles.
"I am upset."
"Don't worry. You're good looking," Seven told him.
Zen froze, and let his hand hover over the power button. He gritted his teeth, and attempted a smile and forced a laugh.
"I am too handsome, but my looks aren't everything," Zen responded, trying to not let his true emotion show.
"Just messing with you. Jumin truly loves you," Seven said with sincerity. "Don't doubt that."
'I have though. Many times.'
"Anyway, I'm here."
Zen nodded, even if Seven couldn't see, and stood up. He had already turned on everything, and ended the call. He went to open the door, and saw the happy bright red haired male.
"Hey."
"Hey. Gonna let me in?" Seven asked, grinning.
Zen moved away, and watched Seven walk inside, humming as he looked around. Zen shook his head when he said, "My fluffy kitten isn't here."
After that, they went to play video games and watch TV. They spent the whole morning together, doing something to keep them entertained. Seven kept getting calls from his roommate, but he answered him only once to tell him where he was.
Jumin came home for lunch. Well, more like sneaked out just to see Zen. When he found Seven playing by himself he scowled. He then noticed Zen curled up next to him with a thin blanket.
"Hey Jumin. I think you might wanna ask Zen if he's alright. He was talking in his sleep, saying how he's not worth of having nice things," Seven told him, not taking his eyes from the TV screen. "He was also mumbling about not deserving your love."
Saying Jumin was surprised was an understatement. He was totally shocked and confused. Seven sighed, and stood up slowly to not wake Zen up.
"I better get going. Vanderwood keeps texting me to get back," Seven said and stretched. "Please take care of Zen. He deserves a lot. Let him know that."
With that, Seven left. It wasn't like Seven to act all serious all of a sudden, so Jumin knew it was something important. He sat next to Zen, and started to gently play with his hair.
"Do you really feel that way, Zen?" Jumin whispered, and noticed the tears falling from Zen's eyes. "Trust me. You deserve what I give you and more. You're my everything now."
Jumin stood up, and looked at Zen with a soft smile. He bent down, and kissed him softly.
"I love you, Zen. So much. More than you can imagine."
