Over the next couple of days, nothing seemed to change. Everyone was working in some way, shape, or form. The Alpha and his Commanders were busy training and checking up on the new building while their females decided it was time to plant a garden to liven things up a bit.

Their mates hadn't disagreed with them. They also didn't know about it. It was going to be a small one the side of the mansion where it could be visible to those who looked hard enough, or to the children who were curious as to what the top three females were doing on their knees.

There were no more disturbances with rape or any injustices regarding mates or otherwise. It was peaceful...well, besides the construction that was occurring.

While the women were working on the garden, digging up the soil, and the sun beat without mercy down upon the ground, Frith felt something in her stomach tighten. She didn't think anything of it at first.

So, she continued to work underneath the scorching sun. A few moments later another painful jolt hit her, but this time it wasn't in her stomach. It was in her lower belly. She groaned out in pain and bent forward, her hands pressing against her belly.

The two women noticed immediately that something wasn't right with her. They kneed their way over to her, Luan touching her back and Kalista stroking her hair. "Frith, what's wrong," Kalista asked.

"It's m-my lower belly," she groaned out. She leaned further down so that her forehead rested in the dirt. Another shot of pain jolted her and she felt liquid running down the inside of her thigh. He eyes widened in fear.

"Frith?" Beta Gregor came sprinting around the corner of the house. He saw his female hunched over, her forehead in the dirt, surrounded by Kalista and Luan. A worried expression marred his face as he sprinted over to her.

He immediately scooped her into his arms, her head leaned back against his chest. He held her tightly as she groaned in pain, smoothing back her hair as sweat beaded on her face and neck. "What happened," he all but growled.

"She started groaning and then fell into the position you found her in," Kalista informed.

Frith's hands went to skirt and hitched it up. Horror took its place on both Luan's and Kalista's faces. She groaned in pain once more. "It hurts." she groaned. "I think I'm losing the baby," she whispered before passing out in pain.

Beta Gregor stood up immediately, sprinting into the mansion with Frith in his arms. He screamed for a doctor to help him until one finally showed up and led them into a room as quickly as possible.

That's why Beta Gregor didn't want Frith to see what was happening outside, Kalista concluded. That's what he meant when he said he didn't want her to get hurt. The pup could have been hurt if Frith was under too much stress.

Ten minutes later, Beta Gregor came out of the room with tears on the brink of falling out of his eyes. He rubbed his eyes with the heel of his palms. He stopped rubbing his eyes and reared back his fist, punching the wall in front of him as hard as he could.

Wood splintered around his fist, a couple of splinter embedding themselves deep within his skin. He didn't seem to mind; in fact, he seemed to enjoy the pain while it lasted. He reared back again and punched the wall one more time before sinking down into a squat with his palms to his eyes.

Alpha Fang came down the steps with a stoic look on his face, no emotion traced on his features. He walked over to his Beta, wrapped his arm around his shoulders, and began speaking lowly to him. Beta Gregor shook with either tears or anger; Kalista couldn't tell.

The doctor walked out a few moments later, unfazed by the intimacy between the two men. Alpha Fang stood up first, followed by Beta Gregor whose face was red and blotchy, his eyes were bloodshot. He spoke in low tones, Beta Gregor's features turning more dejected by the second.
