Daxion lay dead in the hardwood floors in Alpha Fang's office. Like the three intimidating men had described, Daxion did everything they promised. Daxion's blood coated the ground in which he lay in, some of it coming out of his mouth.

Alpha Fang looked down at the dead man, not even an ounce of sympathy running through his veins. The bastard deserved it. When Kalista thought the man wouldn't be punished because of the way he spoke to her, it caused a rift in his heart. Of course, nothing changed.

This dead man, Daxion, has been hunting for his next prey for over a week and a half. Fang thought his first punishment would have been enough, recognizing the burn marks on his back, but he didn't receive the message in full.

Beta Gregor wiped his hands clean with a wet rag, leaving the remnants of blood on it. "He actually did have a puny little dick."

Gamma Zeke and Alpha Fang chortled. How ironic it was for them to laugh over something so serious. However, it was what they had to do in order for them to keep going. Humor was something that didn't happen often around District D due to all of the labor and death that occupied the space.

There was nothing humorous about the situation they were living in, but if they could at least get out one laugh, it would all be worth it.

Humor wasn't the only thing that kept them sane: their work definitely kept them occupied, as did their mates. When Gregor and Zeke would return home from an arduous day at work, their mates knew exactly how to fix it.

Alpha Fang, however, was a different story. He didn't discover his mate until last night, and she has proven to be handful already. He didn't think that she would come willingly to him if he told her she needed to bend over his desk.

Although, he didn't discount the thought of that ever happening.

He shook his head to rid himself of those thoughts. He didn't need her taking up space in his head when he already had so much going on.

She had made him angry today. He was working out the kinks for the new building when he heard the sound of a woman's scream. He thought it had been her, so he told his warriors to check it out. When he looked out his window, he saw his female in a swarm of people trying to do their jobs. He was angry at her for disturbing them, but when he found out the scream didn't come from her, but a rape victim, he became even more enraged.

"Son-of-a-bitch deserved every ounce of suffering," Zeke ground out. "Now the female is impure and her mate may reject her."

It was truth: if a female was found to be impure, her mate had the right to reject her off from the start. She would be able to defend herself in serious situations such as rape, but anything other than that, she would be subject to punishment.

If a male was found impure, the female had the same right to reject the male as well. To be pure showed discipline and devotion towards your destined. The longer amount of time a male awaited for their female, the more honor he would receive. That being said, no male in their right mind would want to wait a long time for their female.

"If her mate is forgiving, she will not face any harm; however, if her mate is unforgiving..." Alpha Fang's sentence hung in the air like a dead weight resting upon their shoulders.

The three men were left in their own thoughts. They knew what would happen. Silence overtook them, but they were interrupted by a knock on the door. "Enter," came Alpha Fang's curt reply.

In popped two warriors with a body bag and supplies to clean up the mess on the floor. The two warriors blanched at the sight before them, terrified that if they committed a crime this heinous, this could be them.
