Prompt: You and Dan were in a serious relationship, though you were young you were in love. Dans parents wouldn't even dare to comprehend that, and hated when you spent the night at each others houses. Sometimes, you forget to lock the door, and it always just so happens to be the exact wrong moment when the door knob began to turn. (imagines was a bit longer, feeling inspired! :)

Dan: You and Dan were 18 and in love. Your family, being the supportive people they are, were glad you found somebody so sweet and kind. Dan's family on the other hand opposed of your romance greatly.

"I have an idea," Dan said with that evil yet cute grin he does. "I want you to come to dinner at my house. My parents cant hate you forever, after all your gonna be their daughter one day."

You smiled. "But Dan, you know how they are. They don't like me, and never will.."

"Babe, you sneak through my window, sleep in my bed, and make me feel like the luckiest guy alive every single night. They have to at least speak to you, and see how good of a person you are soon."

After some convincing, you went to dinner. To your surprise, it went better than anticipated. You finally felt like Dans family was accepting you and that meant the absolute world to you. It was just a start, but it was the beginning of something great.

As you went up to his room, you laid your head on his chest and cuddled like you did every night. Your heart felt so incredibly full.

"You see, that wasn't so bad love, they finally are getting to like you. This is honestly all I've ever wanted in life, except for you." Dan always found a way to make you blush. He kissed your cheek, and before you knew it the two of you were making out. Dan sat up, laid you on your back, and took his shirt off.

"How about we have a little fun, to top off the day?"

You bit your lip. "God, you're too hot Howell."

As you both were getting into it, you heard his bedroom door creak. You were so cautious not to make a sound, but yet you saw Dan's mom staring straight at you. Your heart sunk.

"Oh shit," Dan exclaimed while trying to cover up your mostly naked body.

"Dont even bother trying to explain yourself. This wont be lasting too long, trust me." Dans mom walked away, neither of you could tell if she was angry or disappointed but you both knew that this wouldn't end well.

Dan threw on the closet clothes he found, and ran to find his mom. From upstairs, you heard them argue. You felt like your entire world was crashing down on top of you. You heard Dans mom yell about how you were just "his little slut," and how you'd never see each other again. You sat there and sobbed, until Dan barged into the room.

"Babe, dont cry. Everything is gonna be alright, I'm right here." Dan embraced you tighter than ever before.

"Probably not for long, you heard her.."

"Her words don't mean shit, she can try all she wants but she cant break us up and trust me on that. I love you, you are the girl I want to spend the rest of my life with. If she cant come to accept that, than i'm out of her life. You mean the entire fucking world to me, I wont let her ruin us like that. I wont let her ruin our love at all but we need to go, like right now, before she tries anything."

Dan snuck you out of the house and decided you'd go down to the beach. As the evening was coming to an end, the two of you went atop the hill and watched the sunset. Dan, stood behind you, wrapped his arms around your neck and made everything that happened today escape your mind. You couldn't wait to spend the rest of your life with someone so committed to you, and someone that made you the happiest you've ever been.

"Y/N, I know that after everything we've been through today this might not seem like perfect timing but I need to tell you something. I love you, so unbelievably much and I want you to know that but I don't want you to be my girlfriend anymore, It just doesn't feel right."

"Ar-are you b-break-king up with me?" You sobbed, you knew that all of this was too good to be true.

"What? never," Dan assured you. "It's actually the complete opposite." Dan held your hand, and got on one knee. He pulled out the prettiest ring you've ever seen in your life. "I want you to marry me. I bought this months ago, but I wanted to keep it for when I felt the time was right."

You cried even more, probably looking like an absolute train-wreck. You said yes without hesitation.
