Chapter 1

Forgotten.

Comet Bahadna was born as a goddess in ancient times when her mother, Gaea was an embodied spirit. Gaea gave birth to fourteen not twelve children. She had two more twins. One as we know was Comet and the other was Ivy. Comet was given her name because when she was born her father Ouranos threw her out of the sky to test her and when he did she turned in what Greeks say Bála tis fotiás meaning ball of fire or a comet. Ivy is different she was dropped from the sky by her mother Gaea and when she did she landed on what Greeks call Fytó tou dilitiríou meaning plant of poison or Ivy.

Comet was the goddess of remedies, Ivy on the other hand was the goddess of poisons.  But sadly, as the years went on Ivy became jealous that her sister got more praise due to her remedies. In the dead and stillness of the night, Ivy made a specific disease that was supposed to make an immortal body a mortal body for an hour. When she was making the disease she accidentally splashed herself in the mixture. Not caring, Ivy snuck into Comets room quickly, and doused  her in the disease and waited for it to take place.

An ear piercing shriek was heard in the night. Because as soon as the disease took place Ivy jabbed her hand through her sister’s chest. As it pierced through her chest Comet cried in vain and clawed at her attacker in desperation.

“Shhh. I’ll kill you quickly dear sister,” Ivy whispered.

Comets eyes jolted open as the hand was pulled out of her chest.

She recognized that voice and hoped that she was wrong. Comet fell to the floor bleeding,  she was about to accept death when suddenly her wound started to sting, and burn healing forcefully.

“Goodbye sister.”

“Don’t get overconfident, Ivy,” Comet growled as the poison in her blood willed her to stand.

Ivy’s eyes widened, a mortal wound like that should have killed her from blood-loss.

“How do you manage to live?”

“... It’ll take more than that to kill me,” her voice was a shattered whisper,  every time she walked it sounded like she was made of glass.

“Y-you can’t be alive!”

The disease Ivy mistakenly made was to force a persons soul to slowly break and for that person to have to endure every ounce of pain that comes to them alone they will never die, and will be forever forgotten...

“Forgive me Ivy,  I’m not done yet. You created a disease that will make all mortals FORGET you..."

Ivy paced panicking but then her eyes landing on Comet.

“Tell the remedy sister!” her voice was dark and deep, and he eyes held darkness.

Comet looked at her sister with pity, and sorrow, then with boiling rage.

“...No…”

“Than- WAIT WHAT! What do you mean ‘No’?”

“I mean ‘No’ sister!”

“W-why? Don’t you want to be free of this sickness?” Ivy trembled suddenly afraid.

Making mistakes was a very rare thing for Ivy to do when she creates diseases but, when she does the consequences were exceedingly high.

“Even if I did you wouldn’t be able to fulfill the deed!” she pointed an accusing finger at Ivy, “You couldn’t! No one can!”

“What! Why?”

Comet looked at Ivy with a remorseful look.

“You have to kill your own soulmates, crush their souls with a mixture of life and death berries, and..." she teared up, "Eat their souls... it would cause you great and sincere pain, even worse than death.”

Ivy’s blood ran cold. Killing her soulmates is one way for the disease to never be cured,  ‘Kill your own soulmates, eat their souls’. Those words echoed through her mind.

“... You know what? Only you could do such a horrid thing,” Comet coldly accused.

Ivy’s eyes widened.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Ivy growled out.

‘How dare she, how dare she say I could do such a deed."

“Are you calling me, soulless!?”

“ Yes. You," Come cringed tears spilling down her tender cheeks, "You tried to kill me, your only sister the only one who took care of you," her lip trembled, "You repay me by, backstabbing me.”

Thunder sounded, lightning crashed,  it was as if the elements knew what was happening. Footsteps echoed throughout the halls. The door suddenly was smashed to splinters.

Kronos’s voice boomed through the room, “What is going on?”

Ivy and Comet’s heads snapped to the intruding voice.

Ivy’s eyes widened in horror. Kronos stood at the door with two emotions painted on his face, rage, and worry.

“Who did it?” he questioned both girls. “Who? I swear on the River Styx I’ll banish them to Tartarus!”

He swore on the river, the highest promise anyone could make. Ivy looked at Comet fearfully. She knew what would happen. Comet would tell, she would say what she did and then-.

Before she finished that thought two words cut the silence, like a knife.

    “I did.”

Ivy looked to her hard working, and forgiving sister.

“ I-it was you?!” Kronos said with disbelief and regret. He hadn’t thought it was Comet he had thought it was Ivy. The palace dimed knowing the Queen of Remedy was leaving, nobody waned her to go but he swore on the River Styx, when telling everyone the news nobody slept peacefully that night.

The next day, everyone was there as if it was a funeral. Nobody was smiling or happy. The sky was Greg, and the ocean couldn't bear to touch the shore without feeling the heartache of the land.

‘No she has to back out, she will she’s not that crazy.’ Was everyone’s hopeful thought.

But as Comet neared the edge her eyes held no backing down, no regret. Everyone in the crowd of people gave Kronos pleading eyes.  Kronos himself was doubting this decision, he knew it was Ivy and that Comet was just covering up for her. Everyone was internally begging her to back down. But they all knew what would happen, he knew she was hard headed and will never back down. Even if a seemingly painful death was in the way.

She jumped. Her body hurtled towards the bottom. To the pit of unforgiving monsters of every kind. To the place where she would fight for her life everyday. But before she jumped the titan Atlas gave her a blessing from all titans a secret kept from Kronos. That she will be freed one day within the ripe year of half bloods. She will return. No matter what people say she will come back and if she doesn’t have two children to tame her resentment. She will wreak havoc upon the new rulers of the heaven’s. For being forgotten. They will just have to wait for the day when they must face her one way…. Or another. They would just wait. But they never knew that they wouldn’t be there to see her again that they would all be, Forgotten.
