"You know, Aphrodite, you really aren't that bad for company."Hades chuckled as he looked at his chained up niece with a smirk.

Y/N looked up at him with tired eyes, her whole body smudged with her purple blood everywhere, feeling it drip from her wounds, she tried to breathe but ended up gasping in the end, Hades sighed suddenly, feeling remorse for the girl for a moment before shaking his head, "Why didn't you keep your word, Dite?"

His use of the nickname he called her as a small child made her heart soften for a second, she shook her head before he sat in the corner of the cell, he didn't expect her to answer, or even look at him, but she answered, and she looked up at him, "I couldn't control it."

"So you speak like mortals now?"He joked slightly, chuckling.

"I fell in love, Hades, I fell for someone who was much purer than anyone else on Olympus, someone who deserved so much love but had none given to him."She spoke weakly, "When you kill me, I'll die knowing I fell and died for the right person."

"Why do you not care about your life?! Why do you put everyone else above you?!"He yelled angrily standing up and grabbing her jaw to make her look up at him, "Why do you care so little about yourself but care so much more about him?!"

"Because I'm worth nothing!"She cried, "Because I'm worth nothing and he's worth everything, uncle, he deserves all the good in life, he deserves everything he's worth!"

"You're not worthless, Y/N, you're the Goddess of Beauty and Love-"

"I'm the Goddess of Beauty and Love, yet, I couldn't even give that to my own husband."She cut him off feeling tears fall down her cheeks.

"Your love for him is a curse, Y/N,"Hades sighed shaking his head after letting her go.

"It's the only curse I've ever been comfortable with,"She shrugged, "I'm head over heels for someone who deserves so much better."

"You give yourself too little credit."

"Why are you talking to me?"She asked, confused, "Why won't you just kill me, Hades?"

"Because-"He cut himself off as he let out a huff and shaking his head before he let out a chuckle, "Because you've always been my favourite niece, Dite, I can't find a will in me to do it."

"But you promised you wouldn't hurt him,"She spoke shaking her head, "Listen, if it's me or him, I- I don't have a problem, Hades-"

"I know you don't, Y/N, which makes it harder for me, I wanted to show you what you're worth when you were small, I wanted to show you how great you really are- I- I wanted to teach you how to use your powers and- and I wanted to help you with your homework after you went home after your combat training,"Hades took a deep breath shaking his head before letting his tears fall, "All I wanted was to be a good father to you, but I could never compare to Poseidon, I could never find the will to fight for my rights as your father."

"Wh- What?"

"You're not his daughter, Y/N, that's why you're not considered an heir to his kingdom,"He spoke softly.

"What do you- What do you mean I'm not his- What do you mean- Hades? What do you mean- that- that makes no sense,"She shook her head as Hades felt a tear fall from his eye, "Hades, what do you- What do you mean? Why won't you answer me! Answer me, Hades!"

"Klarophan slept with me, not Poseidon, but they both were too drunk to remember anything, he thought you were his, and it was fair enough, but you never were, you were my child, I felt it- the second I laid my eyes on you, I knew it."Hades spoke shaking his head as his eyes suddenly started to turn green, making Y/N furrow her eyebrows in confusion.

"But- But you- you tortured me, you- you hurt me, you made me have nightmares every day because of what you put me through, you murdered my son in cold blood- you- you made me fear breathing, you made me fear love, you made me fear everything that ever walked Olympus!"She screamed, crying, "You made me hate myself! You made me think I'm worth nothing! That makes you no father of mine, that makes you my enemy! That makes you the person who tortured and hurt me all these years that passed! You murdered my only child!"

"Poseidon took you from me-"

"So you took my son?! So you took my life?! So you took every ounce of trust, faith and love I had in me and threw it to your hellhounds?!"She screamed, "You ruined me, so you shall never be a father of mine."
