I opened my eyes and looked up for the first time, I saw my mother, she was skin and bones and I can tell she wasn't doing so good. I smelt fear and manure all around me; I couldn't even believe what I was seeing. I stood up for the first time and boy was that crazy I was so hungry and ready to feed. Right before I got closer to my mom I heard the steel gate creak open and slam shut, I saw a tall scary guy walk over with his fist tightened and swinging in the air; yelling at my mom to f*** off! She stood over my body in fear trying to kick the farmer away. He grabbed my neck and my legs and threw me over his shoulder, I could see my mom in the distant crying for me and slowly disappearing. He threw me into a small, cold, steel crate. Where was I and what was I doing here?
I was born yesterday: within these 24 hours I've lost my mother and my milk. I can barely walk, stand up or move around in these small steel crates they've put me in. I'm scared and I can hear my mom calling out for me, she seems upset; she's crying. I just want to know how and why I've ended up here. This is all so odd to me; I didn't ask for this to happen so who did? I could tell this next years of my life are going to be hell, what if I never see my mom again.
