Second year of high school is the worst. The school year just started and I'm already complaining about it. Although I have my best friends, Ahn Jaein and Kim Taehyung— ever since elementary school—life for me hasn't been exciting as it used to be. Maybe it's because we're not all in the same class?

Jaein recently got a boyfriend and she seems happy 24/7. It's cute. They're cute. But all I could do is admire their relationship. Taehyung on the other hand isn't dating anyone, but he sure does get many of the girls at our school because he's kind to anyone and everyone.

And then there's me.

Nowadays I just binge eat on snacks while watching kdramas and occasionally study for exams. Jaein would often hook me up with guys but I'm just simply not interested in any of the the ones I've met so far. In fact, who would love me anyways?

As soon as the bell to my last period of the day rang, every single girl in my class rushed over to "the popular, wealthy, most handsome guy at our school aka Jeon Jungkook" to give chocolates. What? What's going on? Is it his birthday? Why only him? My head was full of questions, but I heard someone call my name, "Lee Soomin! Let's go!" I turned around and it was Jaein-ah,standing by my classroom door.

As I walked towards her, she handed me a chocolate too. "Happy Valentine's Day," she said, smiling widely at me. Oh. Right. It's Valentine's Day— the most depressing day for people that are single and lonely. "Awe thanks Jaein-ah," I said while faking a chuckle and we went to catch up with Taehyung, who was practically mobbed by girls as well.

Us three always take the same route to get home since we live quite close from one another. We'll also go to the convenience store to get ice cream pretty much every single day.

"Oh, isn't that Jeon Jungkook?" Taehyung points at him who happened to stand outside of the store facing the trash can, throwing away all the chocolates he received earlier.

"Yah! Why are you throwing those away?!" I ran to him and furiously looked at him, snatching it out of his hands.

"I hate chocolate. Why? Were you one of the girls that gave me one too?" He smirked, not making any eye contact with me.

"Don't you feel guilty? You should appreciate the fact that you even received one." I could see Jaein and Taehyung trying to stop me from the corner of my eye but I didn't bother to step away. Why am I so heated when this doesn't have anything to do with me. Ugh stupid Soomin.

Jungkook bursts into laughter. "Since no one would give u a single bit of chocolate, feel free to keep those ones that are in ur hand. Happy Valentine's Day." He smirked once again and left, patting my shoulder.

"Soomin-ah, what's up with you?" Jaein rushed up to me.
"Daebak!" Taehyung processed what had just happened and clapped his hands.

"Yah, don't you think it's rude to just throw gifts away?! And did u just hear what he said?!" I yelled.

He was right though... no one gave me chocolate except for Jaein. I even forgot today was Valentine's Day. Ugh. Whatever.

"I just couldn't stand someone, especially that bastard, would do such thing." I sighed.

Especially him. "Jungkook, you've changed." I muttered under my breath while staring at the path he took.
