"Elena! Elena! Come quickly!!" Amy said.

Elena came rushing out from the bathroom.

"Yes? What is it?" She said.

"Mr. Nibbles.....he's......" Amy started to whimper.

"He's dead?!!!?!!?" Elena shouted in disbelief.

"No...he's....missing" amy sobbed. She was on the verge of crying.

"Really?" Elena said walking over to the bed and the empty shoebox.

"Hey what's that?" Amy said. She was looking at the little hole in the shoebox . It looked as if it had been nibbled at and was the perfect size now for the cricket to slip out!

"Oh my goodness!" Elena exclaimed.

"And look! There is some cricket bedding on the edge of the bed! He must of jumped off. What if he hurt himself?" Amy said.

"I don't think so. If he hurt himself he would be lying on the floor." Elena replied.

"Well we know that he could possibly still be in this room. We should set up some cricket safe traps to catch him!" Amy said excitedly.

"What type of traps?" Elena said.

"We will need books, carrots, and a big bucket." Amy said ignoring Elena's question.

Eventually Elena and Amy found a big black bucket. 13 books. And a bag of carrots from Elena's mini fridge. They put the bucket with the open side facing up. And then stacked the books up to the bucket like mini stairs for the cricket. They had bits of carrots leading from the ground, up the books, and into the bucket. The idea was for Mr. Nibbles to crawl up the books following the trail of food. And then to fall into the bucket.

"This is perfect." Amy said. "Now we wait."
