Naira's Diary!

Today was the worst day ever. Kartik asked for a divorce from me. In that one second , my whole world came crashing down. I mean, i thought that after bhai and bhabhi's anniversary we had gotten a little closer, and that our broken love was starting to mend itself. Well, i was wrong. Kartik wants a divorce. In Rishikesh when we had a fight, i had promised him that i would never ever ask or give him a divorce. what do i do now, as the circumstances are forcing me to do this. There was a time that Kartik would die if he saw a mere tear in my eye. Today he is the reason of all my tears.

Does he really think i'll be happy like this? Does he think i can live without him, because the truth is that Kartik is my soul. For the past two years i've been living life as a lifeless body, and today he proved that he doesn't care about my own feelings. He probably doesn't care about if i live or die. I am still in love with Kartik and the truth is that this love will never subside. I left Udaipur because the memories of his love haunted me wherever I went. If I leave Mumbai, where will I go? im sure that he won't even care if i leave the world.

Suddenly the bell rang and the day was over. Naira closed her diary and rushed out of the room. Kartik had a meeting with the principal of the college, so he came in. Seeing Kartik, Naira rushed out of the door, her diary falling in the way out. Not realizing, she wiped her tears and made her way out.

Kartik saw the diary and picked it up. He smiled a little seeing her handwriting. A bunch of pictures of Kartik fell out, making Kartik teary.

He told the principal that he had to postpone the meeting and ran to his car. He opened Naira's diary, and read all the entries. The first entry only made him cry.

"i got a diary. before, kartik was my human diary. now i don't have him anymore, and i am tired of crying myself to sleep. hopefully this diary will help."

Kartik flipper through the pages and finally got to the latest entry. The wet ink showed him that it was written only a few minutes ago.

He couldn't stop his tears reading the entry.

"naira is right. i always cared about everyone's feelings except hers. mom wants us to get a divorce. we have 6 months. naira, i promise now i won't ever let you be sad again. in these 6 months i will be the kartik that you were in love with. and don't ever think i will let anything happen to you. how can you think that i will be okay without you? this world is nothing without you, you are my world. i love you naira, and i'll make everything right again!"
