Chapter 5

SERENA'S P.O.V

I made burritos for dinner. I feel weird. I just find out I'm living with vampires and Im only thinking about how old they are. It still creeps me out a bit. I should be running out of here for my life.....but I'm not. I'm sitting in the living room between 2 bloodsuckers eating a burrito and watching ' the Avenegers'.

(spoiler alert if u haven't seen the avengers yet!)

We just got over our fit of laughter when the hulk threw around Loki. I swear it probably lasted for 2 minutes. I'm gasping for breath and my head is hot.

" iron mans the best" I say

" Nuh-uh did you not see the hulk a minute ago" complains Hadden even up gesturing up at the tv.

I roll my eyes.

" see! Iron man just saved literally everyone!" I speak too soon.

Now the hulk just yells and saves iron man. I get sheepish.

Hadden looks at and and smirks. Ugh.

"You princesses are fighting over a movie." Trent says.

" eh-em. Male products here? That makes me a prince" says Hadden gesturing to his lower half.. He then grins at me.

" not happening prince charming" I say jumping up.

Hadden reaches out to grab me but I'm too quick I get around the couch and to the kitchen. Going around the counter separating the kitchen and living room. I'm thinking im home free but I turn and see Hadden running towards faster than humanly possible. He then grabs me waist and carries me bridal style to the living room.

" is that a vampire perk?" I ask

" yes ma'am" he says grinning a me.

" don't call me ma'am I'm not 40" I say smugly.

He plops me on the couch next to Trent.

"you know I'd prefer to be you knight in shining armor now" he says

"would you two calm down Hadden almost broke the coffee table" says Trent

He looks at me... His eyes..they're brown. The yellow that makes the shine is gone so the hazel looks deeper. I don't like it. He's more impatient now and is now extremely grumpy.

Hadden seems to notice it too.

" time to restock Trent" he says seriously.

" ya I know, I'll be back by morning" he says jogging to the end of the room and glancing back at me. Then makes his way up the stairs and he's gone.

" and then there were two" Hadden says smirking.

" do you guys just pick people off the street?" I ask a little nervouse

" nah we get people like sick low lives, like the guys that tried to..hurt you. People who will probably do more damage than we will by taking them. It's not just slaughter Serena." he says giving me a assuring yet seriouse face.

" how long does it usual last? Like till you need more?"

" I got all 3 of the pricks that attacked you. I'm set for at least 2 ta 4 weeks."

I nod.

" so what's next princess?" he asks

" excuse me?"

" I mean like what do you wana do" he says rolling his eyes

" wouldn't you like to know" I say. Payback.
