Chapter 2

After a good few episodes my mam called us " what do you all want for lunch " she smiled at us " PANCAKES!!!!" Dani yelled running around the kitchen " ok ok we will have PANCAKES!!!" My mam said mimicking her .We all sat at the breakfast bench watching my mam cook. I went into a bit of a daze thinking about'The Fault In Our Stars' and how Augustus was given the all clear but still it came back and could that be the case with me. "Jade,Jade,Jade" I heard them yelling at me, I snapped out of my daze and came back to reality " PANCAKES ARE READY!!!!!!!!" My mam said.My mam set the table with lemon juice,sugar,jam and of corse Nutella. I spread some Nutella on my pancake and slowly ate as I looked at Dani who had Nutella everywhere literally! I just giggled and ate a second and slumped down the hall to my room and flopped onto my bed.I took my iPod off my locker plugged in my earphones and started looking for a song,A knock on my door took my attention from the iPod ,my mam appeared "Jade, Becky and Sophie are at the door" she smiled at me " ok I'm getting up" I said, she left the room and I wiped the tears away and went down stairs.

I went to the door to revel my best friends Becky and Sophie . I leaped out the door and hugged them,we walked to the park down the road " so what is the story?" Sophie asked " Well the cancer has not spread yet but my lungs are really weak, but im better than i was so thats a start" I say happily. " Well does that mean you can come back to school?" Becky asked hopefully " yeah I should be back soon!" I smiled back " Tom was asking for you today , he wanted to know how you were doing, wonder why he asked!!" Sophie said in a sarcastic voice,nudging my arm and winking "Really what did you say?" I blushed "I just told him you had a scan today and that would tell if your getting better and he also asked when you were coming back he said he misses seeing you around the halls" she laughed "Oh my god Guys Tom asked about me, Tom as in my brothers best friend, the Tom I have liked for years" I said my fangirling voice taking over. The girls just laughed at how happy i was over hearing that.After walking Sophie home Becky and i went back to my house and went to my room,we turned on music and just sat on Facebook getting up to the usual,a knock on my door startled the two of us, it opened and my Dad walked in "Becky's Dad is here to collect her" " oh ok thanks Dad" I said. I walked Becky to the door" text me if anything happens or if you just need me okay? And hopefully after Easter you'll be back in school!" She said a tear escaping her eyes, she pulled me in for a hug "bye J" she said pulling away "I'll text you in a while Beck bye".

I walked in through the sitting room and grabbed a few DVDs said goodnight to everyone and headed to bed. I walked in and threw on a old baggy jumper and track suit,put the hunger games into the DVD player and literally fell onto my bed. I had just gotten comfortable when my door slowly opened and a tear stained Dani appeared at my bed , I paused my tv, " Jade can I stay in here tonight?" She mumbled " yeah of course you can!everything alright?" I said " I just wanna cuddle" she said "okay come here baby girl" I said opening my arms and moving slightly on the bed. We cuddled for a little while and fell asleep.Her head tucked into the crook of my neck, my arm around her. i woke up and seen i was only sleep for about an hour and decided i would go back to sleep not to wake Dani. i started to doze but i wasnt fully asleep wehn i heard my dad come in and start talking "hey Jad.." My Dad started but trailed off when he realised me and Dani were asleep. He turned off my tv and lights, and the place went quite which is quite strange for my house. I heard my Dad say " look honey" "awh look at my two princesses"Mam said to Dad tears obvious in her voice"we have done a good job haven't we" my Dad asked "we have haven't we ?" She questioned herself "come on let's get to bed" Dad said and they left the room. Ewww like seriously like I get they are married and all but could they have done that in Jakes room instead of mine, I'm literally scared for life!
