the next morning, daun woke up, wrapped in someone's arms. she looked up to see taehyung and smiled. she suddenly felt him move a little and she watched as he woke up, looked down at her and smiled.

" morning babe. " tae said to daun, whilst giving her a kiss on the forehead. he had made sure not mention anything about the night before, because he didn't want her to remember it.

daun and tae fought a lot but the thing is, she'd never remember when they did, because her anxiety meds and alcoholism mixed together caused her to suffer from memory loss.

as the two of them got ready for the day, taehyung would sneak looks at daun, making sure she was okay. suddenly, taehyung's phone rang, the name 'bbg' popping up on the screen.

before taehyung could say or do anything, the liveliness in daun face quickly went away and was replaced with a grim expression.

" who's 'bbg'? " she started, grabbing his phone. " taehyung kim, are you cheating on me? "

tae knew he fucked up this time, because daun only called him by his full name when she was either heartbroken or mad.

" daun, i can explain. "

" no, taehyung, don't. " she made her way to the room and taehyung sighed frustratedly, before sitting down on the couch and putting his face in his hands.

30 minutes later, daun walked out of the room, her suitcase in hand.

" daun, what's going on? why do you have your suitcase? " taehyung inquired, but unfortunately, he already knew the answer.

" tae, i'm sorry, but i think we need a break. " daun put her things down, then headed towards taehyung and took his hands in hers. " i feel as if we've drifted and i think a break would be good for us. "

" so where will you be staying? " tae asked while playing with his fingers and not making eye contact.

" with sooyeon. she offered after i had mentioned what i was considering doing. " there was clearly a tone of awkwardness present in daun's voice.

" oh, okay then. i'll walk you to the door. " taehyung quickly grabbed the suitcase and headed towards their old, rickety apartment door.

when he got to the door, he opened it wide, feeling the barely existent apartment breeze that he usually welcomed in the summer, hit his face.

" well, i'll see you around. "

" tae, i hope you know that i'll always love you and remember, this isn't the end of the journey, it's just a little pit stop. " there was a small hint of a smile as daun said these words, then she got on the tip of her toes to give taehyung one last kiss on the cheek.

so if anyone's confused, daun takes an antidepressant called zoloft and when mixed with alcohol, can cause memory loss so she usually loses her memory after fights with tae but she was still able to sense that there was something bad happening
