Lustrous Red

Prologue

"How long have I've been on this raft?"

"How long have I been stranded in the middle of the ocean?"

She asked herself that question,as she looked up at the starry night sky.

"I'm so hungry",she whispered. The brunette struggled to sit up,since she had not ate anything for a while.She cupped her hands together to gather the salty water in her hands.

She almost spat out the water,because of the salty taste,but unfortunately she had no choice but to drink the disgusting sea water,since that was the only thing that kept her alive. Her ruby red eyes looked at her reflection that reflected in the water. Her mind wondered to how she was stranded in the middle of the ocean in the first place.

Flashback

"Mama?"

"Mama?"

"What are you doing?", a young,scrawny,and dirty little girl asked.As she stood up,the dirty chains on her feet jiggled.She looked at the dirty chains on the ground,that her mom used to wear.

" Shh,mama is gonna get us out of here",whispered a young brown haired woman,Alba. The young woman picked the lock on the cell with a small hair pin she had.

The little girl looked up and silently gasped,she whispered,"Are we really getting out of this horrid place ,mama?",she asked,while her eyes gleamed with hope.

"Yes,Rin",said Alba. Alba looked out of dirty cell to see if anyone was in the hallways,luckily the hallway was empty.

Alba sighed in relief,

It took about five minutes to open the cell . Alba took her daughter's hand and ran quickly as she could. The guards that were in the other room,drinking wine and stuffing their faces with food,heard their footsteps.

"Hey,two of the slaves escaped!"

"I thought they didn't had the courage to escape!"

"Who cares,let's go after them!"

《Alba's pov》

"No,no,no,at this rate they're gonna catch us,I can't let them hurt rin,like they hurt my husband

《Back to reality 》

Shirin looked back,the guards were right behind them.
Shirin started to panic,

"What if we don't make it !"

"They're gonna punish us if they got us!"

"What if-no! I shouldn't think like this,I just gotta keep on running",mumbled Shirin.

《Shirin ' s pov》

We were so close,so close.Then Mama pushed me forward.

"Mama!?",I shouted.

She turned around and shouted,"just keep on running Rin!"

"Mama,I don't wanna leave y-

"SHRIN!,please just run and never look back",she said.

I flinched,she only says my full name when she's serious. I could feel tears on my cheeks. I can't just leave her here,they're gonna kill her!But my instincts tells me to run.

The guards caught her!

"Finally you thought you could get away from us,you wench!"

"What about the kid"

"Who cares,the kid's gonna die anyway!"

I'm sorry mama!

I ran and looked behind and shouted my final words to her,

"I love you mama!"

Then I ran

《Alba's pov》

As I struggled against the guards,I heard what my rin said to me,

"I love you Mama!"

My heart dropped. I could feel tears slowly dropping from my cheeks to the ground.

"I love you too R-!

*Back to reality*

"Why didn't you come with me mama?",Shirin asked herself,shivering because of the cold wind.

She slowly laid on the hard wooden and drifted off to sleep.
