Species Name: Shrieking Fury

Class: Mystery Class

These dragons are very elusive, often hiding out in dense fog and low-hanging clouds in its mountainside/forest home. They are most active around dawn and dusk, relying on the pale lighting to hide them better. They tend to avoid people, and other dragons (except those of its species), but if a human were to train one, it would be extremely loyal to him or her. They are swift, silent fliers, and shoot comet-like bursts of fire the color of their wing membrane. Shrieking Furies appear in a rainbow of colors, varying in the grayish hue of their hide, and the color of their wings and eyes. For example, the green variety would have a light green-gray hide (similar to the blue-gray hide of the dragon shown above) and green colored eyes and wings. They all share the same hard gray underbelly, claws, horns, and spines, however. Their eyesight is strongest in the light of dawn and dusk. They are called Shrieking Furies because of the variety of shrieks, wails, and echoing calls they use to communicate and to scare off invading dragons. They are cousins of the Night Fury.

They are about 5 foot tall at the shoulder, but some can be slightly shorter or slightly taller (give or take 2-3 inches). They almost always live in mountainous regions where they have lots of clouds and fog to hide in.They rely on stealth and speed, and won't reveal themselves if they can avoid it.Usually not hostile or aggressive, usually tries to spook invaders over confronting them, but are fierce and strong when they decide to fight back.It has been found that they will befriend other Riders and their dragons that their rider is close to, and will help protect them if necessary.
