(Told from Loki's point of view)
I was shocked that summer was coming to a close. It seemed like it had dragged on forever, because I'm one of those so-called losers who prefer school to summer vacation.
I was happy to see my friends from school at Diagon Alley, but it hurt me to see them leave the store without me. I didn't let it bother me too much, since I'm sure they would apologize for abandoning me on the way to school.
I packed my trunk full on the day that the train was leaving, and waited patiently after breakfast for the time to come, already dressed in my robes. Frigga and Thor both took me to the station, where I met Ron, Hermione, and Harry at the platform. Frigga left early with Thor because she had something to attend to, and I lined up behind Harry to run into the barrier.
Harry started to run. He accelerated toward the barrier quickly and I had expected him to run through it as it always works that way, but instead, he hit the wall at full speed and fell to the floor.
I stopped abruptly just in time, but Ron smashed into my back anyway before I could warn him.
The three of us were all lying on the ground, aching severely. Some of the midgardians who were passing gave us some strange and condescending looks. A muggle guard walked over to us.
"What do you think you're doing? Running into platform barriers!" He scolds. We sure were causing a scene, with the trunks and Hedwig's bird cage rolling away from Harry.
My face went pale. "Mind your own business." I snapped at him.
"it is my business! Get out! You're causing a scene!" He yells, glancing at Harry, who was reaching over to grab Hedwig's cage.
"Get up, you two." I demand to Harry and Ron. Both of them grab their stuff and walk guiltily behind me and out of the station.
"What now?" Harry asks. "Why didn't it work?"
"I don't know why It didn't work, but that's beside the point. We're stuck here with no way to get to school." I retort.
Ron's face lights up, and he turns to Harry. "The car! We can fly the car to school!"
I look where he looks, and there's an old Ford Anglia in a parking space.
"Absolutely not. I have a better idea, but I'll have to leave for a moment. Wait here, I promise I'll be back." I look up toward the sky. "Heimdall! I need to speak with you!"
The bifrost swallows me, and I take a peek at Ron and Harry's shocked faces as the prism of colors sucks me up to Asgard, and suddenly I'm standing in the telecharger next to Heimdall.
"What is the Matter, Prince Loki?" He asks politely.
I explain our situation to him, and he seems understanding. I beg him not to tell Frigga, Odin, or anyone that he transported Midgardians in the Bifrost, and he obliges reluctantly.
He teleports me back to King's Cross parking lot, and Harry and Ron are still waiting there.
"What was that?" Ron asks rudely, pointing to the sky.
"That's what we're going to use to go to school." I say, and Harry and Ron's jaws drop.
"That? We're using that? What is that?" Ron demands.
"That's the Bifrost bridge, but I doubt you know what that is anyway. To put it simply, it's a thing that lets you teleport using the Bifrost sword. Any further questions?" I say quickly. Harry and Ron stay silent.
"Perfect. Grab my hand." I say. Harry grabs my right hand and Ron grabs my left, and all three of us are swallowed by the Bifrost. We're flying for at most a minute, but then we land in the middle of the Hogwarts grounds, but the sky is dark.
