It had been 2 months since Lottie and Spencer had gotten married, and those 2 months were hectic. After their honeymoon in Australia, Lottie and Spencer had come home to find that Aiden had practically destroyed their entire apartment with the help of a little puppy that he had found at the park one day. Aiden had begged Lottie to take it off his hands, and Lottie being the kind hearted girl she was, couldn't say no to the puppy dog eyes, from Aiden not the actually puppy.

They found out that the puppy was a husky/black lab mix and named him Max. Lottie mostly took care of him when Spencer was at work or away on a case, but they made sure at least once a week they would take Max on a walk to the park together, afterwards getting lunch at a small cafe that they loved.

Lottie spent most of her free time playing with Max, reading at the local bookstore, or redecorating the apartment. She told Spencer that she needed to spend the money she inherited some way since they both made plenty from their jobs.

It was a quite Sunday afternoon and Lottie and Spencer had just gotten home from taking Max on their normal walk. Lottie started the kettle to make some tea for her and Spencer when she got a phone call from Garcia.

"Hey girl, how's that info going?" Lottie asked quietly into the phone, trying not to let Spencer hear.

"Good, just about done. Want to have everyone over for dinner tonight to tell them the good news?" Garcia asked.

"Yes, would you do me the biggest favor of calling everyone so I can go out and get some groceries for dinner?" Lottie said shrugging on her jacket, Spencer giving her the weirdest look.

"Already sent out a mass text!" Garcia exclaimed, excited to tell everyone the news.

"Okay I'll call Aiden on the way there and see if he and James can make it. I know he would like to see Emily again." Lottie said with a giggle.

Aiden and Emily had gotten close when Lottie and Spencer were away on their honeymoon. Aiden even stayed in D.C. for almost a month until he was forced to fly back to California for work.

"Okay girly, see you at 7!" Garcia said hanging up the phone. Lottie chuckled at her friend.

"What did Garcia need Lottie?" Spencer asked watching Lottie get ready to go out, a book on his lap and his glasses on.

"Just reminding me that I want to invite the team over for dinner tonight." Lottie said giving Spencer a small smile. Spencer just nodded at her, going back to his book. He thought nothing of the team coming over for dinner, Garcia and Lottie planned it a lot when the team was not away on a case. It almost was a weekly occurrence.

"Im just going to pop to the store to get some food for tonight." Lottie said giving Spencer a small kiss before walking out the door. Max was standing on the couch trying to see his mommy leave from the building. Spencer just laughed at the small puppy.

It was almost an hour later when Spencer heard a single knock on the door. He knew it was Lottie, that was her way of telling Spencer to open the door for her because she couldn't. Lottie walked in shortly after he opened the door with 2 bags on each arm, Spencer quickly grabbed them so she could rest for a minute before she started cooking.

"Really Lottie, did we need this much food did we?" Spencer asked putting all the food away.

"Well I couldn't help myself when I saw the ice cream was on sale!" Lottie pouted at Spencer. He just chuckled at her, walking over and giving her head a small kiss.

"You know I love you right?" Lottie said after a couple moments of silence.

"Of course I do, I don't think you would have married me if you hadn't." Spencer said smiling at her. She just smiled back and got up to start cooking.
