~Silas' Point of View~

I woke before the sun and hurriedly changed and prepared for the day. As I finished getting ready, I looked to the window and smiled faintly as I spotted a dusting of fluffy white snow atop my windowsill. Lucille loved snow. Scrambling to the window, I couldn't contain my smile as I found the ground outside completely covered.

Hurriedly, I darted to her room, pausing just outside the door. Was she awake? Silently I opened her bedroom door before slipping into her room and closing the door behind me. My gaze fell on the sleeping angel tucked beneath the blankets in the oversized bed. Her long champagne blonde hair was splayed out across the pillows framing her delicate frame as it fell around her. She looked heavenly.

My heart stuttered in my chest as I drew nearer to her bed and looked upon her sleeping face. She looked so at peace here. Back in France, she never slept this soundly, she was constantly on edge, always ready for an attack. She could relax here and it was all thanks to Lord Phantomhive and his servants. I sat on the edge of her bed startling the grey kitten nestled in the crook of her neck. Ash woke ready to play and tried to attack my fingers as I splayed them out atop the plush blankets.

I reached out and tenderly caressed Lucille's sleeping face, lightly brushing my fingers across her cheekbone before sweeping a few stray stands of pale hair out of her face. She didn't stir at my touch, exhausted from the night of dancing and forced pleasantries. Leaning forward, I placed a kiss to the top of her head and resisted the urge to chuckle as she swatted at my silvery hair that fell in her face, tickling the tip of her nose.

She made a cute sighing sound and rolled onto her side capturing my hand in hers as she nestled into the blankets. I flopped onto the bed next to her laying on my side so I could face her. Ash claimed the space between us torn between wanting to play and wanting to nap with Lucille. He settled on snuggling up beside her against her flat abdomen.

"Are you sure you're not an angel, sent from heaven to bring love, light and laughter to this dreary world?" I breathed as I lightly brushed my finger over her rose petal soft lips.

There was a soft knock at her door, startling me. Whoever it was had completely concealed their presence and moved without making a sound. I scrambled out of her bed and released my hold on her hand. The door clicked open and I stealthily dove under her bed to hide myself from the intruder. Hidden in the darkness underneath her bed I was able to get a glimpse at the intruder, completely undetected. I spotted Lord Phantomhive poke his head through the door. His gaze fell on the sleeping beauty and a small smile claimed his lips before he crept into the room being careful to quiet his steps. There was a beautiful winter bloom in his hand. From the redness in his cheeks, the tip of his nose and ears, I could tell he'd picked it fresh from outside. He set it atop her bedside table and paused next to her bed.

"Have you found any monsters under there, Silas?" Lord Phantomhive's voice was soft careful not to wake my sleeping mistress.

I poked my head out from beneath the bed, "All clear." How did he know I was here?

There was a knowing smile dancing across his lips. "Ash gave you away." He indicated the grey kitten as it went skittering across the floor from beneath the bed. I hadn't even noticed he had followed me. "It's a bit untoward to be in a young lady's room when she's in such a vulnerable position."

I smirked at this, "Well isn't that the pot calling the kettle black."

Cyril chuckled, "So it is. Let's accept the fact we're both morally corrupt and leave together."
