"Miss Willis!" I jump being startled by the close proximity of this irritating voice. "Miss Willis, my classroom is not a place to take naps." Oh i'm sorry, What's a more appropriate class? I thought. He moves from the side of my desk, which sat in the middle of the room, to the front of my desk. Leaning down to be eye-level to me, he says "Maybe you should wait 'till next period. I hear my Mr. Warren is real keen on naps."
"Sorry" I say and slightly meaning it, "Will do, sir." I'd rather not be on Mr. Johnson's bad-side. With that all being said Mr. Johnson moves to the front of the class, continuing his schpeal on whatever the hell he was talking about. Mr. Johnson was a cool teacher. He let a lot slide, as long as you show some effort in his class. He taught English, which wasn't exactly boring, but it definitely wasn't the highlight of my day.
"Pst..." I looked to the direction of the sound. This hazel eyed, brown haired, tan girl was the cause of my disturbance. "Pssssssssst" I looked over at Indie with a what look to my face. I loved Indie with all my heart, I called her my best friend for a reason, but she did not have a sense of timing.
"What?" I said slightly annoyed and giving her my classic eyebrow raise.
"Can you come over today? I have to talk to you about my mo-"
"LADIES! FOREWORD. NOW." That shut her up real quick. Indie and I looked to the board, faces completely red. I looked up at the clock it read 9:15. What the fuck. It's only been 20 minutes.
As soon as the bell rang, I walked to the door as quickly as possible so Mr. Johnson wouldn't even have a chance to speak to me after class.
I kept walking down the hall. I passed countless students talking, laughing, and some even kissing. This was a bit pointless in my opinion-High School I mean. I don't feel like i'm learning much, just doing the routine. Everything was just routine at this point: walking to class, socializing with other students, homework, projects; It all just seemed like a cycle. Just a huge, on going circle. I'm in my junior year and I already have this high school stuff down to a science. Doing the same thing everyday really makes you good at it, I say to myself. I wish I could have that same approach to sports.
Mom would be so happy if I were good at fiel-My thought gets cut short by a familiar arm coming around my shoulder. "Oh my gosh, you almost gave me a heart attack." I say with a light hearted smile on my face. His gorgeous, ocean blue eyes crinkle at the sides when he smiles at my comment, God I love those eyes. We don't stop walking as we maneuver through the sea of children.
I don't realize I was staring until he starts snapping his fingers in front of my face. "Well, as much as I love having you stare at me. I was actually trying to talk to you." He says with a light hearted laugh. His laugh was an amazing thing. It was deep, but not too deep, just like his voice. He did have a sexy voice, I smile at the thought. "Ok what the hell is going on in your head? I keep talking to you but you're just staring." He tilts his head a little to the side, telling me he's curious.
"Oh nothing, Just the usual you know, like how incredibly sexy you are" I give him closed mouth side smile.
"Well, I already know that," he says with a know-it-all look.
"All right Hudson...No need to be so cocky" I laugh at him. He does know it though. He knows he's gorgeous. He has it all, sports, rock hard body, and the amazing California boy look. He knows he has it all. He knows girls are just dying to be with him. He knows that he could have anyone he wanted, but he chose me. He asked me out in the ninth grade. And to this day, I don't know why. I had barely spoken to him, or any guy for that matter. Going from middle school to high school was not easy for me. I never had any guy's attention. All I did was live a normal, boring life with friends. And my transitions from schools was no different. So when the Hudson West came to talk to me, I almost fell apart at the seams. Someone had actually noticed me and not my friends.
