20. Green Line

"Luna.. I'm sorry but, your mother is in the hospital." 

That's where I've noticed that me being worried about how she wasn't coming back from her trip wasn't a small matter. And judging from the letter I got about her, whatever happened to her wasn't an accident.

"Miss Luna?" The principal said.

"Huh?" I say, "Oh.. C-Can I go see her?" 

"Yes, you will be driven to the hospital." He says.

A woman gestured me to follow her and we walked down the hallway. I could see students looking at me in confusion and then there was the boys, they looked at me with confusion but all I could do is mouth, "It's okay." Although they knew it wasn't okay as they could see my worried expression. I was hoping that it was a minor accident.

"Miss?" I ask.

"Yes?" She says

"What happened to my mom?" I ask.

She sighs, "I don't think I'm the one to be telling you this." 

I sigh and stare outside the window.

We finally arrive at the hospital and the woman and I rush to the front desk.

"Is Ms. Reese here?" The woman asks.

The nurse checks and after 3 seconds she says, "Yes, Room 5."

I run trying to find Room 5, I found everything but it. 

"Luna it's here." The woman says, I run to her and run as fast as I could see, stopping suddenly when I see my mother on the hospital bed. Next to her is Hoseok's mother, crying. I wasn't surprised because they went on a trip together and they're best friends. I run to her with tears streaming down my cheeks.

"Mom." 

She looks at me with all her strength, "Luna.." 

"What happened to you?" I say, hugging her.

"Luna, promise me to always be the person you are today." She says.

"W-What do you mean?" I ask.

"Just promise." She says, out of breath.

"I-I Promise." I say, tears falling harder than before.

"Thank you." She says, with a single tear falling down her cheek.

Before I could say something, she closed her eyes. Then the monitor started beeping very loudly. The green line on the monitor became straight. I couldn't believe it. My father, now my mother.

As soon as I notice that  she has died, I couldn't stop crying. I dropped down to my knees sobbing uncontrollably. Hoseok's mother was crying too. Suddenly I could see the doctors rushing in, taking her bed with her in it rushing out of the room. I couldn't even say goodbye, I tried telling them to stop but they were in such a hurry that they didn't hear me and they took her out of the room. Hoseok's mother hugs me tightly,

"I'll take care of you."

After 30 minutes, my tears stopped and I was numb. I couldn't feel sadness nor happiness. Hoseok's mother took me into her car and she drove.

"Mrs. Jacqueline." I ask.

"Yes, Luna?" She says

"What happened?" I say.

She sighs, "She got stabbed by someone. We did not know the reason of why she got stabbed. It was a woman though and she was wearing black from head to toe. She was wearing a mask. I saw her eyes though.. They scared me so much.."

 "Why did her eyes scare you?" I say.

"The way they look at you. It's like they're staring into your soul. And she also had blood in the corners of her eyes.. It was terrifying." She said.

We must figure out who this girl is.. She didn't hurt me, so she hurt my mom..

"I don't know how she didn't hurt me. I was next to your mother, she just looked at me and grinned and a crowd was forming and as soon as I was gonna find her again, she disappeared. We did not find her." Jacqueline says.

"She's only out to hurt me." I mumble.

"Sorry?" She asks

"Oh- It's nothing." I fake a smile.

We arrive at her house, she opens the door to see Hoseok and the boys there looking worried. As soon as I saw Hoseok, my emotions came back and I started sobbing immediately. I ran to him and I cried on him while he hugged me. They still did not know what happened and why I left school, they surrounded me, Hoseok pulled me out of the embrace,

"What happened, Luna?" Hoseok asks worriedly. 

"My m-mother d-d-died." I stuttered through my sentence.

His eyes widened in shock and his eyes filled with tears, he hugged me again and the other boys just joined and it became a group hug.

I pulled out of the hug and look at all of them,

"It was a murder, and it's the girl I'm getting the letters from."

Everyone looked shocked and filled with anger.

"We need to find out who it is." Jungkook said.

"That little - AISH I'M GOING TO KILL HER." Jimin said, frustrated.

"This is going to be hard." Namjoon said.

"I bet it's Ji Su!" Jin says, still annoyed by Ji Su.

"Calm down, let's not point fingers yet.. BUT YEAH IT'S PROBABLY THAT HOE JI SU." Taehyung says

"We will find who it is." Hoseok said.

"OH!" Yoongi said,

We all look at him.

"Yesterday when you guys were doing your little truth or dare thing and I was napping, I dreamt of her! Aish, I'm so dumb, how did I forget?" Yoongi said

"Well, what did you see?" I asked.

He tried to remember and suddenly his eyes widened and he became tense.

"She was grabbing her bag to go to school. 

And as soon as she arrived at school is when I woke up.

But what I know is..

She goes to our school.."
