I stared at him with my mouth open, I was shocked. I his couldn't believe this.

"is it really you?" I asked

He didn't even answer, he stood up and took a good look at me and put his hands on my shoulders and went in for a hug, and I quickly pulled away.

"Say something Harrison." Mom snapped, "You guys haven't seen one another in years, and you're just going to stare at each other?"

I turned back to look at Dexter, and I said "Mom says I look a lot like you. I don't see it" I made my way out to the back yard but before I walked out I turned back and glared at him, then I said "She also says I act a lot like you too, but I actually love my family. And I would never fake my death to get away from them."

I kept watching him until I got a reaction. He let out a sigh and I watched his eyes turn glossy. And the best part, was watching a tear roll down his cheek. Then I finally felt some accomplishment.

I slammed the door and walked over to my sister and sat on the swing next to her.

"Who was that lumber jack guy?" She asked

"No one."  I replied.

I can't believe she compared him to a lumber jack, seriously that's a good one. if I wasn't so pissed off, I'd high-five her.

He is  not the Dexter I remembered. The Dexter I remembered wore pastel, bright colored dress shirts and slacks that were always perfectly ironed, always clean shaven, and hair always in place. He was so tidy and well put together. Always so neat.

And now, well... He does look like a lumber jack. Maybe the other side of him did die in Miami and stay in the past.

"Harrison, are you really just going to leave it at that?"

"Oh my God Harry, are you really going to--"

"Look, sitting out here and being mad at him really isn't helping you at all!" He snapped

After a while playing with Isabella we went inside to get something to drink and I reminded myself to avoid eye contact with him. As we got closer to the door, could hear my Mom crying, very quietly. I ran in and asked what was wrong.

She lifted her head from her hands and said, "he's gone."
