Danielle's POV

Immediately the bell for last period rang,I walked out of the class as fast as I could and dropped my much unneeded textbooks in my locker. I turned just in time to spot Jennie shoving her way through the packed hallway to me.
'Hi gal' she greeted
'Hi' I replied, zipping up my bag
'Sorry 'bout lunch. I got carried away' she said
'Yeah. You sure did but don't worry 'bout it. I'm good' I said, shrugging.
'I did notice something.' she said, trying to wriggle her eyebrows. Keyword been 'trying'
'What?' I asked
'You and Jake. Getting all mushy' she said
'That's his name. And if I can remember clearly,  you were the one getting all mushy in the lunch hall' I said
'No I was not' she says with a pout
'Yes you were' I said
'Are not' she said
'Real smooth babe. So mature' a voice says from behind me.
I turn to meet green eyes. They stare back at me intensely.
'Hey babe' Jennie says
The guy who I guessed was Jennie's boyfriend in the lunch hall, gives Jennie a peck on the cheek.
'Troy meet Danielle,  my bestfriend and Danielle meet Troy,  my boyfriend' Jennie introduces
Troy gives me a beautiful smile and I try not to lower my head out of reflex. I'm kind of sociophobic and I fear having to talk to new people. I give him an awkward smile and quickly say goodbye to Jennie.
She waves at me and Troy does the same.
I run into the packing lot and spot my Metallic Mercedes. I open it and hear the satisfying beep it gives whenever opened. I get into the drivers seat,  drop my bag on the backseat and reverse out of the parking lot.
As I drive, I think about stopping at the store for groceries but then decide against it. I'll just order pizza. After a good 1 hour of driving,  I pull into my new neighbourhood. I pack in the little garage I had and got into the house after fishing for my keys in my bag for 15 minutes.  I can be very rowdy. I close the door with my leg and make sure to lock it.
I drag myself upstairs to my room and plop on the bed.
I am so drained.  Talking to people can be draining especially if you planned to be invisible your whole senior year.
I decide to have a shower and 20 minutes after,  I am refreshed and in my favourite and most comfortable pajamas.
I go down to the kitchen with my phone to place my order when I see a silhouette which almost sends me reeling in shock.
'How long does it take you to shower?  I've been waiting for you' the person says and I recognise the voice.
No. It couldn't be.
