Danielle's POV
I hurried down the hall trying not yo be late for class and at the same time making sure I wasn't attracting attention to myself. I entered the class that was supposed to be my first class into a new life and prayed internally that I was not late and about 2 dozen eyes stared at me.
So much for trying not to draw attention to myself
I heard murmuring as I stalked to a table at the far end of the class
I sat quietly and brought out my books

The bell rang and we all heave a sigh of relief. I'm not really a school kinda gal and History is definitely not my best subject.
I quickly join the crowd going out of the class. I walk as quickly as possible to my locker, drop my books and grab my small lunch box
I know sounds wierd right, a senior year student still taking lunch boxes.
Well it's been like that since forever I mean I've been taking lunch boxes to school since that incident. Anyway, I walk towards the field(don't ask me how I know the field so well if it's my first time here)
I sit on the grass and open up my lunch box and stare excitedly at my lunch. I've got an hamburger and apple juice. I dig into my lunch and was caught up in the wonderful taste of the hamburger but my enjoyment was short lived as I felt a hand pat my shoulder. I spun around and stood up immediately (yeah I'm real athletic)
"Hi" the intruder says
She has short black hair and black eyes
I put my heard down and didn't reply
"Are you new here?"her little voice asks again
I don't reply
"Are you a mute?"she asks
"NO" I yell and the black haired girl laughs
"Then why are you not answering my questions" she asks
"Nothing. By the way, Hi,I won't say I'm new here and no I am definitely not mute" I say
"Okay. I'm Jennie, you?"
"I'm Danielle"
"Nice to meet you Danielle"
"Nice to meet you too"
"So what are you doing here alone?"she asks
"I don't like drawing attention to myself so I prefer staying here" I answer
"Really. Okay then. So we're friends
right?"she asks
"Sure. We are"
