Damm... why me?

I knew this was a consequence of what I did when I first entered the classroom.

Fuck.

I rolled my eyes and rested on my head on my fist and gave my attention to the front of the room.

Where the boy from earlier was gesturing that I sit on his lap. I lifted up my head from my fist to presented my middle finger to his direction.

This sucked. Not only did I have to participate in a project with mister jerk, the "bad boy" of the school. Which wasn't hard to tell because his first impression was "golden". Dude... acts as if he owns the school or something like high school is a whole phase and once it's done you wouldn't matter.

I was disturbed by Mr. green with his next announcement.

"Each group will read every chapter and present on their findings. you guys will also need to come up with the main message of the book. So I would advise that each group start reading ahead of time. Don't even try moving outside of your groups for information on this book. Even though this is a group project, each student will be graded individually based on online submission of their daily log entry."

I swear I would roll my eyes again but, I afraid it will get stuck at the back of my head.

The class groaned, Maybe sad that they would need to commit to completing homework.

I turned to the side of me and noticed that Jamie was the only one who remained unbothered by the situation. He wasn't fazed by the situation at all.

Was that a good or bad thing?

The bell rang, all the students packed their stuff and left as quickly as possible. Almost everyone except me and Jamie was making plans for their project.

I was about to ask Jamie where he wanted to do for the project and before I could say anything he already made his way through the door.]

I raced after him because there was no way I was going to do this project alone. Believe what you want I take my grade seriously.

He was throwing stuff into an open locker, while a group of guys surrounded him. One of the boys was earlier and I don't forget a jerk when I see one.

I made my way to him.

"Jamie!"

I wasn't certain if he heard me because there wasn't a response.

I walked a little closer and yelled his name again: "Jamie!"

He turned the other way and I walked a little closer to him. The same guy from earlier noticed me before he did.

"Well if it isn't the girl would like it rough, Did you come back for more?"

"Definitely not interested in your twig ass," I said, as my attention was directed on Jamie.

"How can I help you?" he asked with his emotionless face expression. He sounded as if I bothered to him and It was something I would expect from him.

"Well I wanted to ask you when we are going to start this project and where are we are going to meet up to do it," I said with cheeriness to lighten up the mood. " I don't have any interest in failing because of your inability to corporate with me in this project." I finished, and all my cheeriness was gone.

"I couldn't care less right now" then he totally dismissed and turned away towards the guys.

I was in shock.

Is he serious?

The guys laughed at the idea that I would be bothered by his response.

This boy was me messed up.

"Listen to me," I grabbed his shoulder to turned him towards me."Unlike you, I need to keep my grade up in order for me to get into a good college. I am sorry if this may bother you but, I don't have mommy or daddy's trust fund money. So, if I ask you to make a plan for this project, I mean it and I am not paying any games. Especially with someone who likes to play this Dick head with every chance he gets."

I was all true. My mother didn't have much money on the side to provide support for me to get into college. My dad actually died when I was a little girl in a car accident when I was five. So, life hasn't been the same...since.

"Well, I guess it times for you to start caring about your grades and shape up." I was completely pissed off at that point, but I didn't let him see it. I looked him into his eyes before walking away. I heard someone say.

"Oh my god you're going to let her talk to you like that"

what an idiot

eventually, school ended...

All the students made their way to the parking lot. Since I didn't have a car I. Decided to walk the way I came. As I made my way towards the exit of the parking lot, I almost ran over by a motorcycle. The motorcycle stopped in front of me. The person lifted the eye protector of their helmet, looked at me and then drove off.

What the fuck...
