Things weren't going well for the past few days, especially for Jinsoul. With heavy thoughts in mind, the deity was in a complete mess. Mostly because she couldn't comprehend the fact that she was a heavenly being. Not only that, she has been hearing weird voices that kept repeating "It's time to go," and it was driving her nuts.

"I already got my memories back. But must I return?" Jinsoul mumbled, unamused with the dilemma she's currently going through. "Jungeun... I'll stay for my love."

Just then, a strong wave of pain began to invade her head. It started off weak, but it slowly became more apparent until a strange figure materialized in front of her. It was a spectral version of her, who wore a lavish white dress, with blue accents at the sides. The being must've been her before she was punished. Her headache disappeared once the specter fully emerged.

"I'm sad to say, your plan won't work my dear. Let me enlighten you with my–our real situation." The aether being began. "Mul So–No, Jinsoul, your time is running out." The resembling spirit said. "Everything that was written on that book were half true. We were punished because of our kindness, and now here we are. But the conditions given for our return was a complete false."

"W-What do you mean? No one was bound to remember about us right?" The clueless deity questioned. "I mean, sure I got my memories back, but that doesn't change the fact that I could stay here for as long as I'd want."

"Wrong. You've regained your memories because you fell in love, and the person you adored reciprocated the feeling, that was the first step. The next step is where you decide your fate, either you return or, go back to nothing."

"H-Huh?" The betta's confusion continued to arise.

"You must cut your ties with the person you love to return where you rightfully belong—as a deity, or disappear into nothingness if you chose not to do so otherwise." The spirit deity began to disperse into smaller light particles, whilst finally leaving a devastated Jinsoul.

"I-I have to end what I have with Jungeun? I-I can't do that..." But she attempted to do so anyways.

She made an effort to avoid, to ignore, and to shut down Jungeun from her life—and she was somehow successful. It was difficult, but she could barely hold on. It broke her heart that she could no longer embrace the girl she loved. To add insult to injury, seeing her lover's fragile state crushed her already-shattered heart.

A frown did not suit Jungeun. She deserved to be happy, not all broken because of Jinsoul's conflict. But she seemed to have lost hope, especially since her lover ignored all of her advances. It was like nothing happened between them, and everything they've been through was a dream. Her desperation was left unanswered, like the questions swiveling within her.

Please, why are you doing this? Why are you killing me slowly?
