That autumn, I did not go crazy,

but I wore very close, very close to the bone.

Strange things were known to happen in the sleepy town of Ambrose. Lost deep within the forest's belly, off the grid of Louisiana, cut away from the rest of the world, population unknown, the town was nothing more than dust on God's green earth.

Things were not always as they seemed. The reality of Eloise Lane's life lived within those words. With her missing brother another cold case in the hands of the system and her own heart losing its battle with hope, the better days she once recalled were long behind her.

In an attempt to find closure to her brother's missing footsteps and to reclaim a bit of the life she once knew, she sets off on a road trip in the arms of her college friends, hoping for a harmless weekend of camping and football games. Perhaps it would be enough to stop the haunting that followed her so closely.

Strange things were not always what they seemed to be. The nightmares have just begun for the small town and for Eloise, who finds herself in a battle with the monsters resurfacing from her past and the ones crawling their way in.

Ignite these bones of mine, remind me that there is more to this life.

What a habit I have grown, carrying the dead with me, knowing they will stay with me until I die, too.
