Hey guys, I have an exciting (and longer? I can't tell since I'm on mobile.) chapter for you this time! Hope you enjoy!

And a little news I guess, I'm going to start writing in third person for Shiori. While reading my drafts (of future chapters which I edit before I put out) I realized I'm better at third person then I am at first! That also means that I don't have to say that I'm changing POVs, which is great news!

So yeah, enjoy!

Shiori stared up at the sign of Kamiya Dojo, wondering if that rumor was true. There was always the chance of the person being a fake battosai. It had happened to her the last time she had been to this village, the time she had come because of Battosai. Her fists clenched, almost scared to see if it was true.

After all, it was the battosai that had made her an orphan, if you needed a label. She gulped, her hands becoming sweaty as they were only clenched even tighter. She hated that she was fearing this, seeing this person that she had searched for so long.

"Excuse me!" she called, finally getting the courage. "Coming, coming-" she heard the slightly gruff voice of someone she was not familiar with. Perhaps, the master at this dojo? She stared at the man in surprise when he was in view.

Definitely not what she expected, a man with no weapon but his fists? Weird, it had been so long since she had seen one of those. In any case, definitely not the battosai.

"Hello?" he asked, making her suddenly smile. "Ah, yes, I'm looking for a possibly former manslayer, he went by the name of Battosai I believe?" she asked, before waiting a bit nervously for an answer.

He stared at her, and stared at her, before he laughed. It seemed nervous to Shiori for some reason. "Hah! That guy's probably not even alive anymore!" She stared at him for a mere moment, before she realized he was acting.

'How dare he!' she thought, as her innocent blue eyes turned into a slight glare. "Oh, the ojou-san from before?" she heard it, that familiar voice from so long ago. The voice she hated so much.

She turned around, her eyes widening. It was him. The man she hated from the beginning of her training. The mere stranger she had met about an hour ago.... he was most definitely the Battosai, the manslayer! That cross shaped scar on his cheek, the familiar orange hair tied into a ponytail that she remembered so vividly.

"Hm, what's wrong? Kenshin asked, smiling at her and being friendly. The man who killed all of her family, was trying to be friendly with her! Did he.... did he not even remember her!?

"You." she scowled, her eyes turning back to a harsh glare, remnant of her days as the Bloody Sakura. "Me?" he blinked in confusion, seemingly not very scared of her. "After what you did to me, I can't believe you don't remember me." she laughed, feeling delusional. "I'm sorry, I don't remember you. Although I've met a lot of people, that might be the reason why?" he replied, trying to be polite as possible.

He knew this woman wasn't playing around, the way she showed her emotions to him was like how he did when he was battosai the manslayer. The grip on her sword tightened in anger.

"You must have killed a lot of people then, battosai. Just like you did with my family, you did it to other people's families too huh?" she smirked. Kenshin's eyes widened, realizing who it was. "Are you....Princess Asahime?" Kenshin asked. At the word princess, Shiori flinched almost unnoticeably.

"Huh, Kenshin you know this girl?" Kaoru asked, who was standing beside him and confused. He stared at Shiori for a moment, before nodding. "I knew her in my days of manslaying." he replied reluctantly.

Her sword began to shake with anger, and possibly something else? "So you do remember? Hah, I'm sure all you do, still, is kill people. You're gonna kill this girl and her friends next, aren't you? That's what a typical manslayer would do." she chuckled, but there was some sort of sad tone to her speech.

"What are you talking about!? Kenshin would never-" Kaoru stopped, flinching to the point that she stepped away from her. Shiori had given her an angry smirk, accompanied with the glare from before. "You have no idea what he's done in the past." she replied. Kaoru glanced over to Kenshin, who was looking down with a guilt ridden face she had never seen before. Kaoru's eyes widened at the sight.

"Feeling guilty, huh? You should-" she suddenly went silent. Kaoru glanced over to Shiori, to see her unconscious while laying face first on the ground.

"Kenshin!" Kaoru called, making Kenshin look up. "Oro?" Kenshin blinked, before realizing Shiori was unconscious. Immediately, she was picked up bridal style. "Kenshin, I don't know what you did to make this girl so upset, but I'm sure that she'll forgive you eventually." Kenshin looked over to Sano, before smiling in silent thanks. "Kaoru-San?" Kenshin asked, turning to Kaoru. "Could you help me set up a bed for her?" he asked, Kaoru smiled and nodded, "Sure, Kenshin." They headed for the guest room after that.

Sano stared at them as they walked away, a question lingering in his mind. Why did he feel like he knew her at some point?

So, there you have it! A hopefully exciting chapter. And a little twist ending to it too, hehe.

And, keep in mind, All of this is AU. None of this history is real either, that would be insane. Sooo, don't take this too seriously. xP
