Everyone in this world had a meter that settles in the inside part of their forearm, like a tattoo. This meter shows how dangerous your soulmate is. Like most of the world, their meters showed a low amount of danger, giving a feel of relief to all. But in this world, there are people that have meters filled to the highest, scaring themselves, but also the people around them. (Y/n) is one of those "unfortunate" people.

"Where's my damn key..."
"I know I put it somewhere here..."
"I swear to god."
(Color) eyes frantically search around in her bag.
That girl right there, talking to herself, is sadly me, (y/n).
"Screw it, where's that extra."
"Where are yo- FOUND IT!"
I sigh in relief, my hands clutching the spare key. I really need to buy more, this is just embarrassing.
Coming back from work is a pain I feel every day, except Saturdays, thank the heavens.
I run to the bart, nearly missing it each time, walk a couple miles to my car, get stuck in traffic, then lose the key.
I open the door to my small, but comfortable house.
I quickly take off all my clothes and hop into the shower.
Warmth surrounds my whole body, almost not wanting to leave the shower.
Reluctantly, I turn off the water and step out to the carpet. Having the towel wrapped around me, I take a look at my appearance.
My (length) (color) hair, my (color) eyes...all very normal. The only strange thing is the meter on my forearm. The meter is filled to the top.
My soulmate can definitely be considered a bad person.
Even though the universe prepared this person for me, just for me, how come I feel so nervous? What if the whole meter thing is flawed?
