i wake up on jaiden's hotel bed with case files spread around me. i don't notice jaiden anywhere, i get up, look in the bathroom, and notice she's not there.i look around and see she's asleep on the floor. i get down to the ground and i slightly shake her to wake her up.
she groans and rolls to her other side. "listen we got to get to work, you kinda of have to wake up now." i said to her.
"no, leave me alone, let me sleep." she said not moving at all.
"you know i can't let you do that" i said to her, begging for her to wake up.
"yes you can, the door is to your left" she said giggling a little after that.
"you're extremely difficult and not a morning person." i say getting up and sitting in the bed.
"mhmm correct, you're a profiler. you should be right." she said sitting up from laying down but still sitting on the floor.
"you're a profiler too and we got a case to work on, let's go." i said standing up and giving a hand out for jaiden.
she grabs my hand and attempts to pull her self up and instead she pulls me down with her and we slam onto the floor.
"ow" she said rubbing her shoulder while i'm focusing on my arm, which i fell on.
"you okay?" i ask her rubbing my arm
"yeah, you?" she says getting up
"yeah" i said following her actions
"well that woke up me up" she says standing up opening the dresser.
"why'd you sleep on the floor?" i questioned her standing, my arm feeling tingly.
"oh um well you had already fallen asleep so i laid down, rolled over, and fell onto the floor. i think i was just too tired to get up and fall asleep somewhere else." she explained grabbing clothes and a water out of the mini fridge.
"you could've just woken me up and i would've went back to my room and slept there." i said standing behind her, i felt guilty in a way.
"no it's okay. it's kinda nice having someone around, you know?"
"oh you don't have a boyfriend or a husband?"
"oh ha no. my work pretty much consumes me."
"that was totally inappropriate for me to ask, i'm sorry."
"it's okay. that's not the worst question i've ever heard."
"oh" i said smiling a bit "well i should get back to my room." i said walking toward her door
"hey, wait." she said putting her clothes down and facing me
"i just wanted to say thank you."
i furrowed my eyebrows, confused.
"you're the only person that has talked to me since i started here."
i grinned and said "it's no problem. you're easy to talk with."
she smiled and said thank you.
"i um should be getting back to my room now." i said.
"oh right sorry." she said picking her things back up and placing them on the bathroom counter.
i walked out of her room and shut the door hearing it lock behind me.
i walked down the hallway, passing 4 doors, grabbing my card key, opening my door, and shutting the door behind me.
