Music Fest.
What an interesting place to go. More interesting than I thought.
The school day had just ended and all the 7th and 8th graders were sitting in the gym with suitcases, duffel bags, drawstrings and etc. for the trip to Music Fest. My friend Angela sat to my right staring off into space thinking about lord knows what while Muriel was to our far left, talking to her parents.
I had my feet kicked up on my suitcase, leaning back against the stage behind us. I wanted desperately to pull out my phone and watch Netflix till my eyes bleed, I was so bored. But, I did NOT feel like getting suspended for some stupid crap like that.
Instead, I just sucked it up and yanked out my sketchbook. Obviously, I didn't have a pencil. I never do.
"Do you have a pencil?" I asked, turning my head in Angela's direction?
"Yeah." She responded, grabbing her small iPad bag that she keeps practically her whole life in. A few seconds later, she grasped a blue and black mechanical pencil and handed it to me.
I mumbled a quick thanks before turning back to my sketchbook. I can always count on Angela to have my back. She's such a mom.I wasn't really drawing anything in particular. I just kinda let my hand glide itself over the page. It's not something I usually do. Whenever I draw, I have something I wanna draw, or at least some idea. Eventually, the scribbled turned into a sloppy sideways face.
I ripped out the page before crumbling it up and attempting to throw it a few feet away to the trash can. Obviously, I missed cause I can't aim for my life but I got up to dispose of it properly.
After a lot of sketching that was going nowhere, Muriel joined us on the cool metal bench.
"Alrighty Guys, we are about to start loading up the cars. Let me go over the rules that you all should know by now. These parents are taking time out of their valuable lives to drive you all to Dallas. You will behave and treat them with the kind of respect they deserve. Also if anyone-"
I stopped listening when she first started, everything was a bore. We went over these rules 18 times in class already that day. 76 times during that whole week.
After she finished her 4 hour lecture, she gave us the lost and order of people we would be driving with.
"In Danielle's car, Danae, Muriel, and D'ahrie. In my car, Kaylee, Joya, Jasmine, Beauty, Tristan, Toby, Caleb and Alex. In Mr. G's car, Josue, Kaleb, Anthony, Jeremy. Everyone grab your things and go to your driver."
Dang it, why can't Angela come it's us? There's still another seat in Danielles car. Does the world hate us?
I know I was being dramatic, but Angela is a quiet person. She doesn't do to well in loud places and with big noises. Ofcourse, she would put her in the car with the loudest people on the face of the earth. I would honestly switch with her, for her sake.
Whatever, no time to dwell on the past now. I grabbed the handle of my suitcase and flung my backpack over my shoulder, making my way with Muriel to Danielle's car.
I hugged Angela for the last time in 3 hours, before we would make it to the hotel and see eachother again. Danae helped me with getting the suitcases and bags in the back of the car before we all hopped inside.
This was gona be an interesting ride, filled with laughter, fun, and most importantly Disney songs.
(Next chapter will probably be out later today, if not than probably tomorrow. Hope you enjoy this crap book, Lovelies!
